What exactly is the model though? Is it replacing the IS300 etc. etc.

Im guessing its a step above the IS300 and i believe its using the GS430 300-hp V8.

isnt that the car on the from the discovery channel show "rides"... if im not mistaken... they took the GS430 engine and custom fitted it to the is300 and upgraded the suspension... thats all... nothing special -minh

I think that's the one Rod Millen and TRD put together. It's the motor of the GS430 in the smaller, lighter body of the IS300. Custom, one off. Doubt it'll see production. I saw specs on it in a magazine, and it's FAST!!

Doubt it'll see production. it is indeed the RMM car. and yes^^^ it was featured on rides. RMM i believed started making these on a special order basis for customers. toyota hadn't planned on making 'em as a production car until word got out about the car and they start getting positive feedback. it was then that they began investigating the possibility of making the car a production vehicle, but not much has been said about it.

Too bad it's not a production car. It went against MOPAR's Carbon Fiber body SRT-4 in septembers Sport Compact Car and pwned it.

That is a SICK, SICK car. The problem is that Toyota has confirmed many times it's not planned for production. If BMW has the M3, Caddy has the CTS-V, and Audi has the S4... why can't we have any fun?

I wish they never parted out with the 2jz-Ge motors. I think its slowly going away. 2jz was a great engine if not the best. Amazing how it only gain 10 pounds with 2 more Cylinders.

This car will be unveiled with Lexus's new line of vehicles. A lot of their vehicles are getting a serious overhaul in their engines. THey'll begin using the hybrid/conbustion engines. ES and GS will be getting the makeover. Right now, that car pictured, the IS430 is just a custom Rod Millen/TRD ride. It will be in line with the new GS and ES rides. The I-6 will still be offered while the V8 will be the upgraded version.
