I never have.
Make sure that there are no rips or punctures in the boot.

mine click a little too, nothing to noticeable though I like the nonchalant answer. If you hear it then it's noticeable. To say if you hear a clicking noise during turning then you're are screwed. May be the CV joint may not be. The CV Joint is nothing cheap to play with. Get it look at and/or fixed. It wil cost an arm and a leg to get the CV joint fixed. Good luck ![thumbsup thumbsup](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/thumbsup.gif)

A cv joint is short for constant velocity joint. Its main purpose is to drive the car. The change the motion from the tranny to circular motion which inturn turns your wheels. The way to tell if this joint is bad it to take a turn right or left and listen to hear if you hear a noticable clicking noise. Another way to check is if your boot is ripped. If your boot is ripped and you catch it early enough you might be able to save the enitre joint. If not the you will have to replace the entire thing. This normally wont occur on cars with not to many miles on then but it can still happen. Older car more likly to have bad joints.
