i think theyre just the bulbs, cz someone switched from mtec to euro dezigns. HID kit is the one that comes with ballasts so it wont fry the wirings.

it's possible to get your wires fried... if these bulbs operate too high over recommended stock wattage..
but REAL HID is actually a whole kit that uses bulbs, ballast, starter..sometimes the starter is incororated into the ballast

I just looked into the Celica manual. It says the H7 is 55w and 9005 is 65w.
It's also same for the Euro Dezigns H7 and the 9005. So it should be ok to replace just the bulbs right?
And this isn't a real HID is it?

Thanks. That's fine I just want that HID look and don't want to fry the wires.
So you're saying that it'll be fine just to replace the bulbs right?

I've read the how to's in the forum but it says take out the front bumper... Is it possible to replace the bulbs without taking out the front bumper?
Thanks in advance.

im guessing its 80 watt...i dunno if that will fry your wirings...but it blew on my friends car once. thats why i didnt want to deal with that and went and bought a HID kit. better than spending more money trying to fix up short circuits

I don't think I'll fry the wirings. I went to the Euro Dezigns website and it says that the bulbs are 55w for H7 and 65w for 9005, which is the same as the stock. I don't know about the amps though... if the Watts are the same I don't need new amps right?

The problem with these bulbs is they are standard Halogon bulbs but using a coating to create the blue HID look, however they are not True HID, they will output about 50% amount of light as your stock bulbs.
If you are interested in HID's check out the Xtec HID kits in the Group Buy sections.

I heard people with these light are really happy. A lot of people have it in the luxury(?!) cars... Infinity, Lexus IS300's, and the SL! hehe Hope it's good on my celica
You mean it's not as bright as the stock? It's cheap though I don't expect it to be like the real HID. At least it's DOT approved...
