Hey all, just ordered my 05 gts yesterday and am already thinking about modding. Just wanted to know if anybody has the TRD exhaust and if they like it. I'm really thinking about going for one but don't know what it sounds like. If anybody knows where i can find a sound clip of it I would appreciate it. Let me here your take on this exhaust. Thanks.

Good luck if you have the Action Package the TRD isn't made to fit yet because the rear valance sticks out so far and even though they can get it to fit, over time it will start to melt the valance. Still looking for a way to mod. Let me know if anyone has had any luck. Enjoy the 05' it's a sexy beauty.

I have the TRD exhaust for my 00 GTS and i love it. It might not have the greatest gains for an exhaust...or be the lightest...but it's beautiful stainless steel...no huge ricey looking canister...and the sound is great. I believe it's 88db which isn't too loud...but sounds wonderful...i wish i could get you a soundclip...i'm sure someone on here has one

go with the TPR. it has the best gains, looks great, sounds about the same as the TRD (but with a little more low end growl) and it's cheaper.

Here you go bro. Check this out, it's a bunch of sound clips of different exhausts. http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/0209tur_exhaust/index.html I don't have an exhaust yet, but I was personally thinking about getting the TRD, just because it isn't too "rice" or too loud. I think you should check out the TPR also from what combatc87 says.

I beleive TRD has better gains than TSRM, but ofcourse TPR outruns them both. So I say for gains it goes TPR then the TRD then TSRM.

I didn't want my exhaust loud because when you do highway driving you go deaf. The TRD exhaust is the best if you don't want that loud annoying sound on the highway. and by the way you have to get the EXTENDED TRD exhaust if you are planning to get or already have a body kit.

So where can I find a TPR exhaust? I think this guy was in on the first group buy so it should be coming out soon, rather than having to wait for the next round of production... https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...#Post1953326347

Hows the production comming on the TPR exhaust. Is there a waiting list or anything like that. I dont want to have to wait very long for one if I get one. I have TRD right now but I want to get rid of t for a TPR peice. I also want the intake but I hear it will take a while to get one.

to put it short... The TRD standard/extended Exhaust has a sound level that is legal in every state. Besides having a legal decibel rating, it has a sexy low growl in the low-to-mid rpm range. and when in the higher rev range, it screams like a hott chick having an orgasm The TRD extended/standard exhaust gives the highest HP gains out of all kits that can still maintain a legal sound decibel. Now if you are not into the soft tones, you might want to check out the TRD Kazuma, which gives the highest gains - even higher than the TRD extended/standard exhaust kits. but beware, the TRD Kazuma is not, NOT, street legal. It is too loud and can be heard from far distances. A sales ad for the Kazuma states that it is "For Off-Road Use Only." But if you decide on buying and installing it, dont bitch about getting tickets.

The TPR exhaust is somewhat identical in terms of appearance to the TRD extended/standard exhaust, it doesnt have a coffee-can look to it like the other exhausts. TPR is a few decibels higher than the TRD, about say 90dB compared the the 88dB of the TRD extended/standard exhaust. TPR has a, dyno proven, higher HP gain than the TRD extended/standard exhaust. TPR is much cheaper than the TRD exhausts. Both TRD and TPR are the best options of exhausts for the Celica GT or GTS.

How about custom catbacks? Are they worth it for $230?
