So I have a stereo that i wanna install, i went to best buy and bought the harness and dash kit and all that jazz...then took apart my console for install and the harness doesnt match up...they told me that there is a stock amplifier that has to be bypassed in order to install the head unit...they wanna charge me $80 to bypass the amplifier...anyone have any DIY help or anything?!?!?!???

its on the passenger side behind the glove box. very easy job if you're even somewhat familiar with installing stereos.
Best 60' 1.959 best 1/4 - 13.7 @ 101mph

There is another wiring harness (Scosche TA-03) that works with the factory amp set up in the GTS. Thats what I used. Plugs match and everything. The normal wiring harnesses you find on the shelf only work for the standard Celica stereo set up (no amp).
