i've seen a lot of incidents where a modified engine too powerful can blow up a stock transmission. there's no doubt about that. sounds very simple when ya think about it..but just to make sure..here's a question for the pros: what if the tranny came from a more powerful car? would there be any side effects to it? for example, if my gt w/ basic bolt-ons were to sport a gts tranny one day...nothing should go wrong w/ that rite? if not please explain why. thanks for reading!

be careful...the GTS has wierd shifter gates and you are more likely to blow your engine with a GTS tranny...I would go with the c2power tranny if you were gonna do something like that...but unless you are rebuilding your motor for serious boost then no worries...the GT tranny is fine...ecelica member Jason Alexander runs 304 whp and 249 ft-lbs. of torque to the wheels and has no problems to my knowledge...just make sure you get LSD it seems to help a lot

In my wiev the tranny itself should not brake just becouse of the more power, BUT if you have other mods like LSD, slick or drag radials wich help traction, you can brake it fast. So its never easy for us to run better times.
Also as we expirienced the GT and the GTS trannies are basically the same strenght. They are both oversized and can be runned under boost. They would brake around the same torque wich is ~250-260lbs ( all cars are a bit different so 1 brakes later other sooner). A GT with a GTS tranny is a really short setup. you will not be able to drive long distance relaxed. It will all the time rev higher then it is needed. It will aslo eat more fuel.

Now something interesting. I DO suggest our tranny only to those ppl who are surely pass the torque limit. Even if the sound is nice, it can be anoying in every day use. The price is expensive, but cannot be done cheaper. But ppl who needed it, they allready have heavy mods in the car, so our tranny is not gonna add any more stress in driving. What actually is needed is a 6-speed housing. We can do the install, if you send your tranny. It seems it worth, cos we just going to have one installed from CA. It still worth the shipping price here and back then have it installed there. We can also ship and you do the install with a local tranny shop. Its not an easy job. Gas

i heard the tranny can handle up to 10 psi which is bout 250lbs torque? is that true Its hard to put a psi amount to tq amount. It all depends on the car, gt or gts, the turbo, the setup, the tuning. Theres so many factors, while one car may make 210 lbs tq at 10 psi another may only make 180 lbs tq. However i dont believe 10 psi will get you 250 lbs tq, it will take more than that.
