Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior VS FF-GT replica kit...arrives...picz

okay, first off..i bought this kit on ebay from an awesome reliable guy named Allen on carparts255@yahoo.com (carparts255 "ebay")..calculated 11 business days from the time we tranferred funds..i opted for a shipping terminal instead of business address for shipping and it was the terminal's fualt of not notifying me that it arrived on the november 10th...today is the 16th...so shipping was super fast..

anyways heres the front bumper...the center piece comes unattatched..im guessin its will need to be molded on or attatched with body adhesive??..but the center piece fits really snug...and sidemarkers came predrilled..pretty thick layer of frp too...A++ so far

alright so all in all im pretty happy...just waiting on my tyc reds..TEIN springs 1.5"..but this wont be put on til later...with Xmas gifts and holidays, and vacation from work...need to save up a lil..but you can see that this dudes quality is pretty damn good..and although its not authentic (which im sure people hate) for fuckin 520 WITH shipping aint too damn bad!! shit i saved well over a thousand dollars...so i cant be any happier!! btw i hope you groupbuyers contact this guy because he's cool and he kept me updated throughout...anyways..wish me luck hehe ..later guyz

I have those rims but in black...you will love them... they are awesome, and STRONG as all hell if you run over potholes...kit looks good

how is the fitment on it

honestly bro i dont know...the sideskirts seem to be really snug...i have no experience with taking my bumpers off so i'll wait till the judgement of a body shop...to me, the front and back bumpers seem to align well..but of course that can jus be eye tricks...im sure there will be minor fitment involved...but by the look of it, when all is said and done..it has great potential to fit well...all ican say is "we'll see.." and cross my fingers

great to know!! lookn for tires right now, and sort of hesitant since jersey snow will hit in a matter of days/weeks...who knows...but they will be 225/40/18s if anything...what kind of lug nuts did you buy, measurement wise?? did you use stock?? havent even dealt with that aspect yet..

and the center piece you said that isn't attached (diffuser)...that is supposed to be detachable...it has too different positions it can be set on. it is removeable.

your car inspired me to get this kit..i live in scotch plains (union county)..but i work all the way up in dover...i was plannin on gettin a black stripe and black rims but i must pay respect to your car and not come off as a twin..so im jus gonna keep everything red with a raised hoodscoop...i think im gonna paint the diffuser black and have VIGG Designs in freehold vinyl me a red "celica" logo to put in center of the diffuser..i think thatd look cool...but by the way...with the diffuser, hows it supposed to stay on then after picking the position...3M??

hmm because of the replica, you probably don't have the holes that the real VS already has
it has holes and bolts already, so that's that best thing to do.

thanks for the feedback guys...i might pull a loan from the bank i work for since i work in lending, so i can put this kit on sooner..hopefully by december, since this day got me all amped up...i actually purchased the ADR visions in Bronze, but i called the company and switched to silver..bronze wouldve been hott, but i dunno i jus had a feelin silver wouldve been better...tint, springs, tyc reds, d/s rotors, red calipers are on the agenda as well..any suggestions on spoilers?? TRD 3rd brake light, wingless, or veilside replica rsx touring wing(attatched picture from tspracing.com $240 with shipping)

the rims come in silver, black, and bronze...not sure about gunmetal, but highly possible...AZZKIKR has the black ones although its not in his profile...jus look at any rim website and do a search for the ADRs

i dunno...the wing wouldnt be authentic tho (why stop now, right? haha) ..but no one else bought that wing from the website i put down...it looks fuckn real close to the real RSX wing tho...but i dunno about taking another huge risk on a replica...at least i know replica trd wings fit well with the 3rd brake light..or i may go wingless and buy the VIS laser fenders like JBing's car (im really feelin his new setup)...

if you look at pic 3 the diffuser is wrapped up in bubble wrap right by my left foot...it does look funny but its there

is the difuser the part that goes under the center of the front bumper?? i notice theres a piece missing there.
