Yes that's the whole key to keep the 7 gen style but to upgrade the powerplant to at least a 250hp with turbo!

went buck wild on this solid red stockish looking cellie. the color scheme is interesting and something i would def do it if i had a red celi(dont know about the Carbon Fiber hood though)...besides..i chopped this in 10 min so dont go nuts saying its ugly..im a huge fan of 2 toned cars when its done right

If Toyota had released the Scion tC as the 8th generation Celica, I guarantee that almost everyone on this site would like it.

Yea my bad i posted one that's a 8th gen but it looks like 7th gen!...then i did this other one that's the new 7th gen look!...but that's ok your good dude keep the concept design's coming we should all submit a petition to reestablish back the 7th gen toyota celica! we should demand
that this car that we all love be put back into production
with and engine upgrade and better feature's as celica consumer's i believe we have right's to have this awesome vehicle be put back into production! we can't just stand around and let some scion take over!...We love the celica

the tC is the closet thing as of now to an 8th gen celica...and there is no doubt about it

This was what the major car magazines were predicting was going to be the 2006 Toyota Celica, before Toyota scrapped it.

The yellow one looks dope! If toyota made that, it would be my next car.

Why does toyota have to be so stupid? the celica and MR2 were awesome cars!

And BTW, my old prediction was proven recently: I saw a segment on TV that was talking about hybrid cars, a Toyota rep pretty much said the reason toyota was moving away from sporty cars is because of their Prius hybrid. Currently, Prius is the best-selling hybrid on the market, and they want to distance themselves from high-performance gas-powered vehichles because it doesn't flow with a car-maker who's philosophy now revolves around trying to sell economical hybrid cars.

In fact, toyota is preparing to make a few more hybris models, as well as a hybrid luxury/sports coupe (which will be a Lexus model, BTW) A hybrid 4-cyl vvti mated to a hybrid synergy system; It's said it will perform like a V-8, and use as much fuel as a corolla. No joke.

There are rumblings that, in 3 or 4 years, they will release a new sports car to reconnect with their motorsports heiritage, but it's a way off. Who knows, they may bring back the celica in another 5 years or so.

with the import scene expanding as it is...why the hell would you ever want to discontinue your top selling tuner car? its ridiculously stupid, maybe by june they'll announce that they will still be producing another celi in 06...not that I could afford it, but itd still be nice to continue the legacy! as far as hybrids go, too little horsepower...people have a need and want to go fast, hybrid cars arent really gunna be able to produce the horsepower for tuners and domestic hot rodders...just my 2 cents...
