Rims that appear to not move when you drive.. what are those called ^^ As I was walking to my car I saw this Cadillac coming but yet the rims were not moving!! but i could see behind it that something was moving.. It gave the illusion that the car was just skiddin on the road

nope not spinners.. its like the opposite they stay in place.. it must be running on some sort of bearing system in which the rims do move but the inner rim that you see stays in place anyone heard of it? perhaps its going to be the new "spinner" thing only the opposite

:google: has not failed me still not sure what it's called though...but.. http://www.custom-wheels-car-rims.com/Store_Detail.cfm?ID=119645&InfoID=3561have a counter weight on the bottom. These spinners stay stationary when driving. The wheel moves but the spinner does not, has a great effect!

Sounds like an incredibly stupid concept what ever they may be called.. rims look nice when they are in motion.

Yep they're spinners. Only occasionally not spinning. Sometimes they only spin from a change in velocity. I was browsing in PepBoys last week and saw some cheapo fake-chrome plastic spinners trim-rings for $39.95...I'd love to see the gangsta wannabe that puts those bad boyz on his rice...

at some point of motion, all rims/hubcaps same to either stop spinning or rotate backwards while the car is in forward motion.

Never heard of "moonwalkers." When the rims aren't spinning and the driver takes off, they don't spin for a while (low friction); it takes a while to build up speed.
