This question was posed by another member a while back, but never answered (this is all I found in my search).

My automotive supplier just aquired distribution for Turbo Specialties. They offer 2 kits for the 1ZZ-FE.

Check here: http://www.turbo-kits.com/corolla_turbo_kits.html

Has anyone tested whether this kit can be stuffed under the Celica's hood???

The fit might be a little tight, you may need to cut or move a couple of things but it should work if your Celica has a 1ZZ.

Don't mean to be a bastard.. BUT why the hell would you put a turbo kit for another car into a celica? I mean i'd think that people if they wanna turbo would atleast do it the right way and stop tryin to cut costs? I didn't mean to sound harsh just askin a simple question..

Stop tryin to cut corners and costs... but than again its your chioce.

Perhaps I should rephrase the question...

Is there a fundamental difference btw the 1ZZ-FE for the Corolla and the Celica.

Secondly... this kit happens to be in the right power gain range I'm looking for. It's a daily driver and I'm only lookin' for 30% or so.

And before anyone says "just get the TRD supercharger because it's got that kinda gain", a turbo would offer the option of upgrading later. Plus I'm not diggin' the hood they've designed.

Isn't a cost based question. But I do understand what you're saying. Lots of folks end up spending a hell of a lot more trying to do their own custom turbo for less. Mass production is your friend! wink

Anyway, further input appreciated.

IF that than.. Why not just get C2Gas's Stage one kit. If you run 6psi your'll have about 220whp. Thats about a 30%. If i were you I wouldn't risk it.. C2Gas kits are like 3300 shipped... Great rpcie for great product!
