I just had my new Apexi N1 exhaust installed on my 2001 Celica GT. I have to say I'm not all that impressed with the way it sounds. I definitely feel an increase of throttle response, but the bottom line is, my Injen CAI is louder than my exhaust. Maybe it will increase in dB. the more I drive the car. Has anybody out there had a similar experience?

A lot of people say that the N1 is the quietest of the exhausts out there. It just makes that deep grumbling noise and that's it

i was originally going to get the Evo2, but opt out because of how quiet people claimed it to be. i went with apexi because i like the deep low tone it has a reputation for. even though it does produce that to a point, i was hoping for something a bit more prominent. i like sitting idle next to someone and hearing the exhaust enough the know it's there.

The N1 doesn't sound like rice and it doesn't turn the celica into a lawnmower. If you want noise go get a SOHC civic POS.

Trust me, I don't want my car sounding like a lawnmower either. I just don't like the fact that I have to turn my stock stereo down, and carefully not give the car to much gas or the intake kicks in, to hear my exhaust. I also considered TSRM, but it doesnt have the N1 design that wanted. Who knows? I guess I just have strange expectations.

I also have the n1 exhaust and the injen CAI on my 2004 gts auto, i wasnt very happy with the exhaust at first either, but after driving a while it started to sound a lil bit deeper and louder, not quite enough for me though. After I had the resonator taken out it sounded great and ive been happy with it.

LOL, the GReddy Evo and HKS exhaust are the quietest muffler-tip style exhaust, then its Borla, Magnaflow, TRD, and TPR. I love my exhaust (apexi n1). i love the way it sounds from inside the cabin. when i let my friend drive my car once, i heard my exhaust from a different point of view and God is it so sexy. nothing ricey at all. gains are good and the sound is at a great level, though i have gotten 2 tickets for it. [b] the apexi n1 exhaust can fit both the GT and GTS, although its labeled for only the GTS, it will fit. i heard that there really isnt any difference btwn the axle-back exhausts for the gt and gts.
I've mastered the art of the After Image Technique.
