This morning i woke up and i noticed that on my back bumper there was long big scratches with traces of rubber or white plastic that rubbed on my car... it looks like some idiot backed up and hit my back!!! wtf..

anyway my question is how much does it cost to sand down and re paint an area that is 12 by 4 inches.. will they give me crap like we can't match your color so yur gona have to replace the bumper or re paint the whole bumper/car?

btw. my car is Black, year 2000 i dont think the black looks faded... (pic in profile) but how hard is it for them to match it..

well when i get back to torrance im going to go get some quotes.. any advice would help this is the first time some damage has happen to my car...

Thanks!

Have you tried buffing it out yet. Sometimes those things look a lot worse then they are. Get some Maguires X-Scratch and buff the shit out of it. If that doesnt fix it completely go get some touchup paint. To fix a scratch like that you will pay atleast $200

meguires X-scratch doesn't really work for crap... i bought it but it only removes scratches that are barely visible from 5 inches away... like rough towel swirl marks or something..and even to get rid of THAT, you need to rub the shit out of it.. which isn't really worth it.

They will have to paint your whole bumper so they can blend the new paint with the rest of the body. I got mine done at TPR in LOs angeles, and they charged me 340, but I also had them take my wing off. Good luck, but I think it will cost 300 or so.

Same here! But I didn't like the way it looked and got a bigger one, lol.

J/K haven't fixed mine, yet, although I did get a bigger one.
