Sorry, don't own a manual GTS, where's the red line, 8? Or 7.5? What speed will it get you to?

red line on GTS is 7800 RPMs.
You won't land lift though. If you want to land lift you gotta shift at the rev limiter around 8300-8400...but remember that you'll also cause more engine wear and if you race often, you'll really need to take care of the engine.

I shift at 8200 rpm's from 1st to 2nd and first gets me around 40mph. then I shift at the same rpm in 2nd and im at about 60mph. third takes you to about 80-90 and fourth takes me to about 115 fifth is around 130 i think i cant remember its been so long since i maxed out fifth. I took it to 140 in sixth going down hill and I still had a lot of straight road left when I let off but my suspension is not good enough for any faster I think the car feels like its floating.

Maxed in 5th will get you around 140 ![smile smile](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/smile.gif) Never had the time or place (downhill) to get anywhere above that with sixth... Sixth doesn't have the balls ![smile smile](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/smile.gif)

For me as soon as it feels right, not really sure what the rpm's are all the time, seems to be around the 5K mark when ever I look. But I don't really look, you can just tell IMO. ![cool cool](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/cool.gif) oh and I am 100% sure I don't have a rev limiter, I tried to hit it that other day and I couldn't. So maybe they took it out on this year or it's a bug in the sys. ![eek eek](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/eek.gif)
