My check engine light came on after about 2 days of installing my short ram. Does anyone know what's wrong with it? I can't take it to the dealer because I'm outta town.
Can someone help me? thanks!

Did you have the - battery terminal off when you installed it? did you connect everything properly? clean your MAFS and reset the ECU. That's all I can think of, mine has been on for almost a month and hasn't given me one problem

well most likely you didn't plug up the vaccum hose that goes into the intake manifold. And or one of your plugs is not plugged in correctly.
however all of these could be corrrect and you could just be getting a lean code, because theres no fins in your intake.

You could go to autozone for a free cel check and they should be able to tell you what it is i believe.

I did unconnect the battery after I installed the intake. The intake I installed was Bomz Racing Short Ram intake.
It did make my car much faster.
Also I plugged up the vacuum tube with a piece of electrical tape. I taped it up twice.
I'll try to reset the ECU. And see what happens.

I finally figured out a way to reset the fuel management system without disconnecting the battery. I guess a lot of people have this problem so I'll post how to do it after I get back from Miami.

Reset the ECU right at the source... https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_1870213935_0_collapsed_2__1.html
