ok so i got my car back from the body shop and they put a cai on it and there is a loud hissing sound when it idles... is this common or is something not tight enough? just curious because it sounds just fine once it's not at idle

its fine, its the cai sucking in air, and it dont suck or not so hard all the time

it suck in air somtimes when you drive to but then you sont hear it so good since you are in the car with engien noise and stero on grin

Is it a short ram? My SRI makes the noise all the time, especially when the fan kicks on. Its cool...and normal

it's the cai and i checked everything and it was tight so i guess it's just one of those sounds i'll have to get used to

i definately love the sound of it when driving around town
