Does anyone have a supercharger on their GTS? I am dying for more horsepower on my 2004 GTS. Looking at the Blitz supercharger. Anyone have any info? Whats the best way to get maximum horses? Supercharger, right? Which one?

Thanks happywink

oh man you have a hot car, wants trade. deal j/k

Anyways I was told to get to Supercharge mode your are taking about all but 6-10K. cool

You have to change allot GT's seems to be an easy upgrade, but our GTS's are a bit more work. Let me know if you do it and which way you go and I may follow you and do the same. happywink

Thanks, I think your car is very hot as well. I know it isn't cheap but I love the look of the Celica so much I would put the money into it instead of buying a faster car that's doen't have the looks. Why do you think it would be harder to do on our GTS? Because of it being so new? Let me know and I'll keep you posted. thumbsup

actually it's mainly the higher compression in the gts. Consider a turbo instead. Superchargers on celicas are really a waste of money.

C2Gas makes a turbo kit for the gts i think.

how aare they a waste of money ? and super/turbo are the same on high compresion cars they all jsut make more pressure infact supercharger are usally better cause there easyer on the engine less heat then a turbo

Just want to make it clear I don't want a supercharger to win races. I want it so that it's more responsive off the line. The car has plenty power for me at higher RPM's I just want to feel it at the lower RPM's as well. Not looking to shave off seconds just want to feel more response when I start from nothing. Is this what I will get from a supercharger? or would the Turbo be better for this reason?

turbo will have some lag (i.e. the turbo needs to spool up before it makes ful boost), however, c2's turbo reaches full boost (6-8 psi) at 3000 RPMs, and makes strong power at 2000 as well.

The Eclipse unit I have has a CD/DVD/Radio/Nav unit/back-up cam/ Equalizer ect... It has everything you could ask for and more. So worth the money, I'm glad I did it everytime I drive my Celi.

from your reasons and everything...i think your right in going to a supercharger

you want reliabilty and better response, so i say go with a credible company, blitz for one

http://www.overboost.com/obs/product.asp...e=Superchargers [overboost.com]

there is a link to a good and reliable website and the blitz supercharger

good luck and have fun thumbsup

WOW that's original rolleyes I'm not even going to bother and explain just going to say I'm not "trying to be fast" I just want to feel some power off the line. There is a diffrence. My car is plenty "fast" for me I just want more on the low end. ENOUGH SAID.

well, the problem is 4 cyl with little tq and auto tranny; hence, there isn't much down low to begin with. if you car is a 6 cyl, it would have been a different story. if you want power in lower rpm, SC is probably you best bet. no matter how fast the turbo can spool up, it's still slower than the instant SC pick up & go. some of the common problem with blitz SC is that not a lot of shops knows how to install it...

What is this Eclipse unit, how much is it? I get lost alot, lol and was wondering if all those options you talked about came with the unit straight out of the box or not. Have pics?

Ok I just got of the phone with Blitz, there are looking into it to see if the SC will work on the 04 Celica. The question will be if it works with the DBW.

Unlike others said they are not PFC that is Appex not Blitz.

They will be getting back to me soon, in the meantime I am looking for the right shop to install it.

50 more HP sounds good to me thumbsup

just remember that boost = lower MPG, there's all sorts of other costs with that s/c besides buying and installing it...

Yes, we know apexi makes the pfc, we never said blitz made the pfc. However the blitz supercharger uses the pfc as their engine management. You can't just bolt it on using the stock ecu.

I suppose you can just get the blower by itself, and then try and get it to work with a piggy back unit, but that in itself is gonna be extremely hard to do. Who knows if a piggy back unit will even work.

Yes, whether it will work on our cars and whether it will have enough parameters to control the blitz s/c are two entirely different questions

Why did you make two of these posts? You could have got the answers on the other forum.

Anywho... unless they've invented their own engine mangement system, the Blitz unit cannot work with your car. The PFC doesn't work on the 03+, and also doesn't work with autos. spineyes

supercharger + e-manage + awesome tuner

I don't see why the e-manage can't be tuned to work with a supercharger. Just add the right amount of fuel to go with the F/I and cut back on the timing. It's built to handle turbos, and varying boost levels at that. it's simple as there is no boost control to mess with on the s/c.

One thing to note is that the Trial Supercharger from Japan comes with the vvti tuned on the PowerFC. The gains won't be as great as with the PowerFC (as always), but we have seen that the e-manage can be used on a GTS with a turbo, so why not a supercharger?

I get my kicks on EC.
