I get the opinion that you're not gonna go with another sports coupe, hence ditching the celica. Go with a WRX or Audi A4.

Why are you thinking of a new car, anyway? If you want something in the same price range, it can't be financial reasons. Anyway, I'll give you a real nice option. Look for an early 2nd gen Miata (maybe around '98). You can get one for $10 or under. Then buy the Flyin' Miata turbo kit or Jackson Racing supercharger kit. You'll be over 200 WHP to the rear and lighter than the Celica.

i dont understand why ppl sell their car and get something uglier and older for speed. so wut if someones giving you good money for ur car to sell? u modified this car, you bought it cz you loved it, and if the only problem is the speed, then get a turbo, ull be one unique celica in norway im sure.

Speed isn't a necessity, you'll outgrow it as soon as you realize it's not your celica. WRX Is a real good choice, but buying a used one and modding it is still going to cost a lot and you don't really want a used car that has a turbo in it. otherwise, there isn't anything in the GT celica price range that is fast. You're out ot luck, keep your celica and go N/A

Rotary engines are badass. There's a lot to how they work, and I'm not an expert on the engine. Read up on the RX-8. It would give you a better glimpse of what the rx7 is like.

nothing wrong with a 200SX SE-R, the sr20de is reliable unlike the QR25de in the new se-r. it has loads of potential for NA or turbo..if you want rwd the 240 is good but the stock motor blows...a 5 speed GT would be faster or even

get a 1991-95 MR-2 Turbo. You can pick one up for around $11,000 with decent miles. Car is rear wheel, mid-engine car with around 200hp. Car is fast, light, reliable, sexy, and can be heavily modded.

RX-7 Rotary Engines are not good after 100k miles. You will need to do a lot of work in order to maintain engine performance.

Agreed. When I gave away my 00 Celica GT, I did not have an option. I had to give it up. But when I was able to save up to buy another car, I had to go back to a Celica. It just felt real nice when I got back in the driver seat of a Celi, a 6 Speed for that matter. I love the Celi. When I look back in 15 years or so, the Celica will be a huge part of my life. But from what I learned, once you start thinking about selling the Celi. there is no turning back. If you feel that you want a diff. car, then sell the Celica now before you lose that deal. Get a car that you will be satisfied with 100% or you will end up regreting the hell out of it.

I agree with FastCelicaGT22. I want to build the hell out of an MR-2 when my Celica is done. I just seen one on traderonline.com. TRD Widebody, 3SGTE Turbo, Volks, 430hp, very nice car for less then what I paid for my GT. I think the 3SGTE can handle over 800hp and is very tough.
