you know, if you dont tight the gastank lid 'til it clicks, this may cause that the check engine light comes on... ( laughsilly is written there... ) however.
follow this steps:

First reset the ECU...
How to do it? thumbsup https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_1870213935_0_collapsed_2__1.html

To remove the fuse use that kind of "tweezers" (circled in green) happywink

i went to autozone and the dude down there pulled some codes.. they were 640 660 and 662 i believe i don't remember the other ones.. i wrote them down but i forgot where i put them. he said there was something leaking air or something and told me to go back and retighten everything in the shortram install. he took off the engine light but today (a week later) it came back on. i found this little hose that comes off the engine and just sits there. it's not plugged into anything and i was reading in one of your forums how you're supposed to plug that with something, but i gotta stop talking and let you guys give some info.
sorry for the long post

scratch that.. i just found the codes. they are 420 440 446 and 441.. which pretty much tell me there's something cracked, broken, not connected or leaking.. could it be that same hose that's not connected?

well... i didn't get the injen shortram i got a topspeed shortram intake.. if you've ever heard of it.. i'll probably buy the injen shortram if its this crap intake... everytime i turn off the car, there's this noise like a hissing slowing down or something like that.. oh well it sounds cool but i know it's not supposed to sound like that. i'll try and jack my cousin's camera so i can shoot some pics and post them.

this is how the intake is supose to sound... it is your engine sucking in air through the air intake pipe.

The sound *IS* cool, isnt it thumbsup cool

ya know Isaac, I never ever got a CEL from my Injen SRI either...until last week. I investigated and found that one of my silicone hoses, the one that goes into the throttle body had colapsed. So I went and got a 2 ft piece of 8mm hose, the heavy black stuff, replaced the hose, and then reset the ECU. The The CEL never came back, its been 8 days grin How cool to have fixed the problem. Bonus, the car is much spunkier now, that colapsed hose was robbing me of power! Moral of story...sorry so long...is it is imperative all hoses are connected properly and are routed properly, or blocked off properly, or the car will definately not run right. thumbsup

hey ya, i know the exact problem... Have you ever tried to reset your ECU...? I can bet that this is the problem forsure... Not sure how too..? Well here is what you need to do to reset the ECU. Take the Negative from the battery and take the negative apart from the battery and after five to six minutes plug it again and the check engine will surely go away... i had the same problem with my car... its just that when you install the intake for the first time... for some reason the check engine light will come on... but i did what i told you to do and ha. by the time i know it, the light was gone... this is my advice...!
