Well recently I had an accident. I was going down Highway 50 at about 80 mph with my girlfriend and out of no where my hood buckles up and my black widow front bumper rips in half. I thought I hit a 2x4 so I pulled over and TRYED to turn my Celi off which appearently wouldnt work when i took the key out. (I had to flood the engine to turn it off.) I got out and found blood all over my car and couldnt figure out what I hit. I was able to restart my car and drive it to my g/fs house before cutting the batt cables and taking pucs the next morning. Which of course I found out then, the next morning, that i had hit and killed a deer. it was about 40-50 feet away from where i hit it.
Thanks, My cars damage is over $8000 and I only noticed one Cylinder damaged... Repair estimated at 3 weeks... but I'll be back to stock front n: just like my sides currently.
The damn thing hit my car and put me down from 80 mph to 55 mph while i had my foot firm on the throttle. Heh.

Poor car, poor deer. The puppy is thinking... "oh yeah I could go for some of that!" Glad to hear you are alright. Lucky it didn't go through the windshield. We hunt deer in the day, because they hunt us at night! Bastards!
wow--this is the first celica accident I've seen where the headlight was affected. Is it gone or is it smashed? I bet its still in one piece even though its not attached to the car. Glad you're ok.
fucking deer!! Ruin your shit! Damn! Good to see that you able to share us your pictures of your accident. Good Luck with the car! And keep us posted on how the turn out comes
man i say screw the deer, if they are stupid enough to run in front of cars coming right at em making noise they are to stupid to feel sorry for. we almost hit one so many times i lost count in my moms subaru
A boats a boat, but the mystery box could be anything....Even a boat!

It was totally smashed in... Um... I wish I would have taken pics of the deer close up.. there were shards of plastic in its torso... LoL
Red_GTS I'm glad you asked that... My air bags didnt go off in fact the tow driver said they shouldnt have because it was a high hit... not low where the frame rests.
By the way... this sounds like a crock of shit but... The tow driver also said he sees this sooo much. The deer are addicted to nicotine. They eat the butts people throw outta their cars which in turn makes them addicted and want to hang around the streets for more butts.

That is totally true, may sound like shit, but I also heard this from some state cops as well and a friend of mine that is an insurance adjuster.
Oh BTW: I'm also glad your ok, if you seen it coming you prolly would have wrecked even worse and maybe not be hear to talk to us. God was watching you on this one.
Yeah sorry about the car but it isn't the deer's fault.. 1000's of years of deer evolution didn't take into account the sudden appearance of ballistic celicas hurtling towards them!! besides, that deer looks like it took at least $8000 worth of hurt, look where it's damn leg is!!

LoL yes, insurance covers the accident because the deer was considered to not be a "domesticated" animal. Unless it had an owner and was trained to sit and roll over... insurance pays all of it
My side skirts werent on because where I live there is a lot of construction going on right now and my tires shoot up a lot of rocks that lay in the road. I've found that rocks don't get along with fiberglass too too well.

Glad you and your girl got out of that fine, one question though, why did you find out what you hit the next morning, lol, what if it had been someone?

Good to know. Hope the car is going to be back in shape soon.
Jeezus!! I'm really surprised this doesn't happen more often...I see more and more deer near roadways as we develop the woodlands. If you pick one of these babys up on your hood that's a 200 lb. boulder with fur coming through your windshield!
I drive in rural areas a ton and I'm always on hyper-alert for a deer to pop out, inevitably followed by 3 or 4 buddies! Glad you're OK...hope your Celi is back soon!
