Happy b-day to me...last friday...and what did I buy for myself on my birthday...why a new Hood...

only thing is that rather than buying a carbon fiber hood like the invader one or begging one of the members to sell their brs hood I bought tater's hood! If you've been on the boards long enough you know that he does amazing custom work and one of a kind stuff here and there...he had a good deal on his SUPRA STYLE hood that he made for his celica...and now its mine!...thanks tater...gotta love having something no one else will have on their ride...

Yeah it probably looks really good from farther away...but IMO i would get it painted yellow when you can get around to it...i think it would look better. But it definitely looks good enough that i wouldn't exactly rush to get it done...car looks hot thumbsup

I would paint it, get a carbon fiber scoop and then leave a carbon fiber stripe where billy has black...I've always wanted to do that.

nice...3 hood vents...that should help ward off heat soak at idle and lower underhood temps when cruising or road racing.

Having a black hood on a non-black car is the most ghetto thing I have ever heard of.

Hey Steve, I just seen the pics of your wheels. Looks great. Funny, I used to hate black wheels. Now I love them and have to have them. I was about to get black Racing Hart CR's, but can't find them for less than $2,700. That's a little too much for wheels.
As for the hood, what do think about doing a chop with the center strip black, to see how that would look?

maybe 10 hp...but lots of peace of mind as far as me beating on my engine, and still getting the notorious celica reliability put of the engine.

Yes it will!! However, when it rains it makes a mess of the engine bay and doesn't help wiring ect.

I have Inavader hood and it was bad enough with it. However found a fix for that wiht soem ultra clear material underneath for the rainny season.

Oh yeah looks good Steve thumbsup, Happy Birthday and hope to see you at the meet!!

^^^ you know that clear plastic thing on the white binders for school? that stuff works wonders too.

Thanks to Erick's brilliant idea of using it for his tire wheel to prevent his CAI from sucking in water. thumbsup
