I was taking my dad to the Dr. this morning and as we are getting off the interstate I hit this huge ass pot hole. We kept on going but soon I heard this god awful noise. I thought for sure I'd blown my tire... but the car wasnt limping so I very carefully pulled into the Dr's parking and checked. The tire and rim are fine [thank you God] but my damn underbody plastic has come loose on the passenger side. Thankfully again, there was an Ace Hardware across the street so I got some zip ties and tied it off for the ride home. I've heard of several people doing this and leaving it as such. But I actually want to get the crap fixed. Does anyone know how much it would cost for Toyota to get fix it? Or perhaps just the screws from a hardware store? I'm not sure how exactly its held on...nuts and bolts perhaps?

same thing happened to me on the highway, except it just popped off! I ended up just taking the whole underbody plastic off since it was all torn up.

According to the parts diagrams I found somewhere on this site, the fender liner list for $66.50
I recently replaced the one that covers the transmission and it cost $98.00 from the dealer. Good thing was the new one had sound dampening material that the old did not have, engine and transmission noise are noticeably less now. You can also get more of the push button snap things that hold the plastics on from a dealer.

man i bottomed out and messed up my bumper and all my front body plastics cost me 170 to have it all professionally fixed. i gotta give it to toyota for giving us the most piece of shit underbody plastics they could scrape up. there is no support on em the bumper moves slightly and the splash guards get pulled out of socket

OMG! shit happened to me too. I was driving on the highway around 110 or so and then "crack" the high speed winds ripped my underbody off. I almost had a hernia, scared the shit out of me. well it got folded over and I dragged it all the way home. I ripped everything apart and they molded into a different shape. I had to use a heat gun to adjust them. Also, my grill was attached to the underbody and it was filed down to a small piece of metal, it was kinda cool.
