Not sure if you guys remember, but like 2 weeks ago I posted that I was buying new wheels and posted pics.
Well | this past Friday, something got in me, went to Action Auto Sport shop (located in Irvine), and bought my wheels on the spot. I gave the down payment and will pay the rest next Monday when i get everything installed.
So, heres what I got: 18 Mase wheels(RH Z5000 replicas) w/tires. 1.75 drop (Goldline Springs)
I asked the guy for 1.4 springs but he did not have any he could order. But he said I shouldnt have any problems on 1.75 drop w/ the tires I will have. So, I said go for it. Maybe it was stupid of me since I dont know much about car stuff, but the guy seems to know what he's talking about. oh well.
My bill
18 wheels Four tires (forgot profile | but theyre thicker than stock) Goldline Springs Installment/Labor Wheel Alignment --------------------------- Total $1,300
I think this was pretty good price, as I intended to spend about $1,200.
But after I walked out, I was already like I dont know if I should have. And I been thinking about it ever since and Im kind of regretting spending so much on the car. I know making your car looks nice takes some $$$, but I guess its just that I had never spent so much money in one bite!
I hope I feel better about dropping all that cash after I see my baby! (This is my first mod by the way).

the more you spend the easier it gets... the guilt-trip doesn't last long. now I'm not sure if that is a good thing... if it's extra cash sure why not as you can't take it with you when you're gone. but of course never spend money like that on a credit card etc before you earn it. And if that's money saved up for that purpose, it's all good.
I get my kicks on EC.

As soon as you put those bad boys on you will NEVER feel guilty about it again. Every time you'll look at it and think "Damn I love those rims" Who can put a price on that?

no guilt trips over great deals! i went to my shop to find out 'bout tires for my stock rims for the winter and inspection. ended up trading my 17" rims (some bent) and getting 18" g-racing seigens with tires for like $578. i don't know, but choosing between $212 for tires for my stock 16" or dumping my hated 17" white alt213's for eighteens for $466 more, how could i say no. maybe i'll feel guilty a tad when the credit card statement comes in...

You should only have a guilt trip if you had had to choose between spending on the car or spending to feed poor, starving children. And even then, it's only mild.

How is it you plan on putting bigger profile tires on with the bigger rim and drop the ride about 2 in.? Seems to me like it'd rub... Good deal though, no need to feel guilty!! Impulse buying is the best!!

"the tires for your 18" rims are bigger than stock ones?" Dont pay too much attention to this ... like i said, i know NOTHING about cars, or what I said, haha. But the guy told me he knows there wont be any problems w/rubbing (guaranteed!). I will give all specs when I get it installed. Will post some pix too :0) I think i'm not feeling guilty anymore. But I know I will be flat broke December. Hope that the Bonus this year is good ... else i'm Dead Meat I know I could have waited until January to get this done, so i wouldnt mess w/my finances ... but it was an Impuse Buy! Thanks guys for the cheers!

start feeling guilty when your upgrade cost starts totally more than you paid for the car..

You should only have a guilt trip if you had had to choose between spending on the car or spending to feed poor, starving children. And even then, it's only mild. but if you would give your money to feed starving people...you're just interfering with natural selection and the population on a whole is genetically weaker... But yeah it hurts spending 'big' bucks on your car...like body kit, rims, etc...for appearance anyway...but then next time you park your car and turn back to it as you walk away to press 'lock'...and that smile creeps across your face...u know it's worth it.

I got great deals on every mod i bought/did because i took like days and weeks to find out about the mod and research and stuff.. along w/ the help of people. But basically, i also have guilt trips too! Feels like i shouldnt be doing this unless im going to keep this car for life or like 10 years or something.. but yeah, i think im gonna have this car for a couple years until i graduate college and stuff like that and pay off loans etc. But... yeah it's enjoyable and i learned about cars and stuff like that from mods.
