http://members.home.nl/prinssen/celica/PICT0443.MOV and http://members.home.nl/prinssen/celica/PICT0444.MOV Here's my 2 clips. The first run was done from a bit of rolling start with clutch fully engaged, so that could have been faster I guess. Second run is 2nd gear WOT. My car is not tuned perfectly right now. I am STILL missing my pressure sensor, but I think it gives a good idea.. What I noticed is that boosting up to 180 km/h my egt was at a lower temp than at a constant 140 km/h Video was taken with my digital photocamera so the picture is far from perfect. If you look at the right of the screen you can see my shiftlight reflect on my steeringwheel.. I think it's best to download the clip with right-button, save as... playing it in a webpage doesn't really work for me.. Immo

ok, was it worth the money? are you glad you did it? I've asked myself that question too And YES it is. The only thing that freaked me out was my stock clutch slipping the second I took off with my turbo in. That costed me about 1100 euros (got a new clutch + flywheel + install). I had hoped my stock clutch to hold on for half a year, but it didn't.. For the rest I was pretty well informed about the things I needed and the costs of that. I ordered a pressure sensor for the emanage that will allow me to tune it better, so I will get some more power and a nicer powercurve

your clutch didn't last you at all? how many miles were on your car when you turbo'd? i'm getting my kit soon, but i don't have the money for a new clutch yet, BUT my car only has 14,000 miles on it.

My car had about 50.000 km on it, so that's about 33000 miles. Don't expect it to last long. My friend had about the same mileage as you on his celica when he got a stage 1. No slippage, but I really don't think your clutch will last long. If it slips only a little it'll be gone very fast. If you take it easy with your turbo (Which you won't ) than it might hold up a while. The problem is also you won't be driving with a good feeling knowing your clutch isn't gonna hold up. A new clutch costs about $330 and install probably about $250 in the us. I really think you should go for it.. I really think it's better to install a new clutch first and have the turbo done a month later.. You can try this to see how good your clutch is.. rev your engine to about 5500/6000 rpm than release the clutch.. not too fast (it will drop revs too hard) and not too slow. if you take off at a constant 6000 rpms and the speed goes up while your foot is of the pedal than you can be sure you'll kill it very easy with a turbo.. That's how I found out my clutch wasn't that good anymore..

well, i haven't noticed anything like that yet. i may try and work something out as far as a clutch, or maybe save up christmas money for the clutch. i don't plan on having the kit installed until i'm off of school for christmas (which, sadly, is the 23rd). in the mean time, i'm gonna be working and saving money for a clutch, which i had planned to install early next year. hopefully my clutch will hang around for a month (with crappy weather, i won't be pushing my car hard, and i don't do heavy launches or clutch dropping). i guess we'll see.

BTW, which kit did you get? okay, yeah i lied, i would be pushing it (but not as much as nicer weather). i'm not sure how long i can wait before putting this thing in. i'm gonna try and cash in on an early christmas and graduation present and get the clutch and kit now so i can enjoy it longer. oh, yeah, i'm getting the c2 st.1 like you.
