the tc is going to replace the celica line. The tc is not as fast but this is why toyota's doin it.
the celica was over priced.
the enigine was based on high rpms
they failed getting young buyers
and cabin space(the tc is not much better)
so what do you think? because i think toyotas making a really big mistake!!!!

I think the Celica will be back and better.(wishing,hoping,dreaming,keeping fingers crossed)
It's like what Disneyland did to stir up interest, hype, and attendance. They said the Electrical Parade would never be seen at Disneyland again, so come to Disneyland and see the Electrical Parade for the last time.
Little did anyone know they planned on having it at California Adventure when that opened.
So technically the Electrical Parade would NEVER be seen at Disneyland again. But everyone thought the parade would be gone forever.

I recently test drove a tc, full package. Cant compare with my celi. The acceleration was poor. No VVTL-i, no fun.

Maybe the celica didnt appeal to the young buyer because they produce this car that is bad ass looking and has not guts. I mean i love my car but it doesnt compete with the other cars out there. They need to put more horses and make it top out at higher speeds.. I mean 120 for the GT that BLOWS. My boyfriends WRX wagon goes over 140 and his car is a lot faster. I lvoe my girl but damn they could have made the stock celicas a lot faster... if not both versions at least the GTS.

If they put custom turbo, suspension, lighting, bodykit, wheels + quality performance tires, etc on the tC for me, then I'd consider trading my Celi for it  Of course, I'd rather they just do that to my Celica in the first place

tC is better than the civic. If I HAD to take one, I suppose I'd take the tC. There are lots of non-Toyota, non-Honda choices I'd take first though.
