the quesiton is that i have some Hotchkis lowering springs and thats it. i would like to install them. wil this fuck up my suspension if i don't up the strut/shocks now? i am planning on getting TRD in a couple months, but CAN i install them now without noticing a horribly stiff ride etc...?
thanks,
Adam

No it will be fine for awhile...depending on how much you drive ur car...i had the hotchkis springs on factory struts and they lasted about a year then they blew out..so i have KYB adjustables now and they run fine

Nope, this is in the correct forum ... good job danielson ... hehe Anyways ... sure you can install them, the sotcks shock/sturts will wear out quickly because of the lowered suspension but if your going to get TRD in a couple of months don't worry about it. Go ahead and do it. The ride may be a little harsher than not doing the shocks/struts at the same time but it won't be too bad. just watch how you drive and look out for any major dips or bumps in the road. Go for it Remember though that if your not installing them for free, then your gonna have to pay for installation twice.

I was planning on getting Hotchkis springs but if they blow out struts . . . trog2233: can you tell me more about the blow out experience? Is that typical and what did your solution cost you?

Yea they will go if you don't replace the factory struts...Mine went in a year cause i drive alot..it didn't do any harm to my car or anything i just got new shocks and had to do the install twice..if you are installing them urself its not bad...i did...i think i got the new struts for $360 in an old group buy

Ok I guess I'm a little confused about this. If you buy the complete hotchkis package the struts and shocks and everything will be good indefinately or will they blow out as well like trog stated? Or is that only if you mix and match them. Thanks
