I'm always reading about turbos and NOS on Celica's, but none are for 2003's. Is there a company that has worked out a way around the DBW, or has anyone else done one of the two mods to their 03 GTS?

unless you are a fan of the big blue NOS bottle Id look into the other fine mfg's. of nitrous oxide or N20. I hear Zex make a really nice kit too. See NOS is a company, N20 or nitrous is a gas which make your car go faster

if your concern is with the micro switch on the tb then you could always go with a button and install a Mallory switch to prevent mistakes

You can turbo or use n20 on ur 03. You just cant use turbo setups that use the pfc, but you can use piggy backs like the split second and emanage. SF makes a kit with the split second that will work with 03+(theres actually several cars that have this setup) and C2 makes a kit that uses the emanage which should work with 03+.

do them both but for n20 you should go with zex i have done a lot of research on all the different n20 systems and i will be getting zex for mt gts in february for a 55 shot but this will be on a celica with a cai and exhaust other than that the engine is stock
respect the gt-s

Welcome to ECelica racergts03. Good to see another one from Texas. Stay away from that N2O crap. I think I used mine about 3 times in the year it has been in my car. It's not like you're going to drive around town spraying nitrous just to go to the store.

I've been looking at the ZEX wet system. It seems to be a simple system to hook up, but the throttle position switch is the part that throws me off. From reading the other posts, I guess there is a way around the drive my wire but I'm still not sure how the whole thing would work. Instead of spraying at full throttle, I would have to manually shoot it myself? That's the impression I got. As for my car, I have CAI and exhaust too, so a 50 shot or so would be all I'd need. Thanks for your reply!

I know I won't be driving to the store spraying N20, but I live 5 minutes from an 1/8 mile strip. I try to race every other weekend, but because of the lack of participation of other cars in the "celica class," it gets discouraging after a while. I mainly race to better myself as a driver, and to beat my previous times. Just thought N20 would be something to consider.

Okay. Didn't know you go to the track that much. If that's case, sure, N20 is a lot of bang for the buck. Just have to hope that "bang" is a good bang. I would think you should be able to get about 50,000 miles out of your engine using nitrous every other weekend. Good luck though.
