I am looking into getting these rims in 18 x 8.5. I called Axis to get a weight on each rim and they dont have the weight because the 18 inch size will not be realesed until the first of the year. However the 19 x 8.5 weighs 27 POUNDS!!!. Since the rim is going to be 1 inch smaller in diameter how much will i be looking at for the weight of the wheel? 20...23 pounds? what do you think. My mom is willing to help me get them for christmas so i can put them on in the spring. What do you guys think? I'm really not into racing so the weight isn't tooooo big of a deal. just don't want them to weigh a ton. Also...will a 18 x 8.5 fit the celica without any modification?

Yes they have them for sale but they dont come out till Jan 1st. How you ordered them you pasicly pre-ordered them. (This only happens with 18's) if you ordered any other size they are already out.

thats about right with weight. If you concerned about it get some lightweight lugnuts and ditch your spare tire.

18 x 8.5 is kinda wide...I think they're gonna rub the fender well.

I love the way that Axis Reverb and Axis Hiro looks. They both are sexy, simple rims. thumbsup
