I made a topic a couple days ago saying that I was just going to keep my GT, but something kept pushing me to keep on looking for a GTS.

I already have 5 people at my work who want to purchase my GT off of me, and I have found some good deals on GTS's. I found one for 11995, 48k miles, fully loaded. And another for 1000 more with only 37k miles. My dad told me he is going to call insurance and ask them how much it would go up if I get a GTS. Hopefully it will not go up a lot. *crosses fingers*

Well, we just called insurance. I pay 150/month right now for my GT, and they told me with a GTS 6 speed it would ONLY go up to 165/month! AWESOME!

GTS HERE I COME! thumbsup

Make no mistake, the GTS costs a lot to insure. I don't know how the GT compares though. When you find out, please let us know. Good luck! thumbsup

that 165/month is with a good student discount though. If I didn't have a good student discount, it would be at 185/month. Still not bad considering I'm only 19.

speaking of insurance, heard of deductables? use it! i have so many deductables on my car insurance (dual airbag, "ABS" hahaha, "alarm", sealt belt, traffic school and etc...) funny how my insurance agent believe my GT has an ABS...and yeah they really give you bigger deduction if you have that. wink but what the heck I got away with it so i'm not complaining

I've heard a lot about lift bolts, but what exactly are they? Where are they located? How much does it cost to replace them?

WHY? Please explain! What happens if one is broke and how could you tell if it's broke? How much does it cost to replace?

read and learn my son...if you're under 5 years and 60K then you're good. but if they don't honor the warranty then the dealer will charge you at least 6.5 hours of work (which can amount to 70/85 per hour of labor...that around $450-$500+).

but checking and replacing just a WORN bolt is easy. just open the engine cover thumbsup

So if I buy a car from a dealer, or from a private party, and the car has under 60k miles, it should still be under warranty correct? I bought my GT at 40k miles and they never told me anything about still having a warranty...

And I clicked on that link you gave me, and you have to remove a lot of stuff to see if the lift bolts are broken/worn. Is there any other way to know if they are broken or worn without taking off all that stuff? I'm not going to go to the dealer and spend an hour taking off all that stuff just to check for lift bolts.

here's a thought...why don't you do it yourself? LOL rofl...it's not hard. remember when you were freaking out about the intake install...this is much easier... rofl

there is NO way to tell if a bolt is broken. you may experience irregular lift power delivery, but since you never owned a gts you never know what irregular or regular is...it's simple, if they are worn just replace them (the two bolts cost only $1.50)...if they are broken then have the dealer do it under warranty...if the car you bought is out of warranty...then you better find yourself a cheap and reliable mechanic.
