Celica Forums General Discussion General Leak in Trunk Problem please help

Recently i just notice that it was wet in my trunk because my bookbag was wet one day.. Its only wet like on the left side of the trunk under the rear light area and also notice that al this water just went where the spare is and theres like 1" of water there.. i realy dont know wat the problem is and im wondering if any1 had same problem .. help appreciated thnx

Hehe I wonder if its that goofy sunroof drainage tube with a leak. I posted a picture of it earlier today, but Isaac got rid of it. Check the plastic tube in the jack compartment on the left side, and see if you can spot a hole in it. Don't know if water can get from there to the spare tire compartment though.

I'd be leaning towards the tail light seal. Its only foam rubber and if you put some aftermarket lights in recheck your install.

Tail light seal seems pretty likely too.

il check it out tomarow but i was thinking it could be the top part of the trunk like where the top break light is maybe its leaking there for some reason because i bought my car used and maybe there is no seal i have to check
