Does anyone know when they stopped making the V6 celicas?
Or is GTS a V6?
My dad's friend is a manager at a toyota dealer and I remember him telling me that they're not making the V6. That was like 2-3 years ago but i'm not sure when it was...
Does anyone here have the V6?

yup I'm sure.
I remember because we were deciding which one to get V6 or the regular gt. Since money was a problem the manager told my dad the V6 is too fast and we'll get way too many tickets. So he kinda convinced my dad to get a GT...
At that time I wasn't into cars too much so I agreed... Damn!

no dude, its a 4 cylinder, and the differnce between gt/gts is 40horses, lift, and an extra gear which makes it a SIX speed

He told me just like that. And he's a manager in toyota I think he knows about what he's talking about... at least a little...
And I've seen the emblem v6 on a celica before in the dealership

I bet that guy is going to say he never said that...
But he did say something wasn't in production anymore and it was for the celica(this was 2-3 years ago)

there hasnt been a V6 for a long time,(I think, quite a few gens. back too, I think) But No man, you have been missinformed by some jackass, there was never a 7th gen v6, you'll learn as you go, every1 does, and this is a good place to learn.

lmao...there is ONE V6 celica  some dude in australia did a V6 swap into his 5th gen...lol...I'll see if I can find the link...it's pretty sweet ass swap...but toyota never produced a V6 celi as far as i know

There has never been a REAL v6 celica. The only v6 celica's are the "Celica-Supra's" from the 80's and the plain Supra after that. Sure there has been swaps but there is none out of the dealership v6 celica.

Yeah, the sales guy who sold me my GTS told me it was a five speed. I knew better though. Shoulin is right, they'll say ANYTHING to make that sale. They make money off commission. They'd say it could fly if you'd believe them.
