Well since I'm keeping my GT I might as well mod the hell out of it. I was thinking about HID's. Right now I have 6500k blue bulbs and they are really white. What I really want is that look on the luxury cars (or the evo MR) that have that really blue look. What is the best brand of HID's to get? Also, I want a bright HID set, but I also want it to be blue (in other words, be to where people know it's HID and not just some bulbs). What temp would be the best? Pics of current HID owners would be appreciated!

HID's is the best way to go. In the long run, they are the same price as if you were replacing your HID lookalike bulbs. Mine as well invest in them now. If it was me, I would get the 4300k for best output but if you want teh bluish look, then i would suggest the 6000k. Look at xenondepot.

HIDs are the best way to go, no question. Go between 4300 and 6000 for the best output and look combo. If you're looking for something different, I know a guy with 11k in his Civic... it looks hilarious.

So does 6000k have some blue output to it? I want it to look like HID's, and not just have a very bright white light.
Does anyone know the color temp on the honda s2000's?
And if I order from xenondepot, i just need to order that set right? I mean, there is nothing else I need to order to get my HID's working?

i'm pretty sure the one on the s2000 is 4300k. Someone correct me if i'm wrong. Just get the 6000k. Bluish look while still maintaining good output.

...Does anyone know the color temp on the honda s2000's?... all stock OEM HID runs at 4100k-4300k color temp.. and as i've posted here https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f0_1953365985_0_collapsed_5_365_1.html#1953365985Just that with our stock halogen projector you won't get the same color effect as an hid designed projector would.
which is why stock OEM hid's typically have that prism effect. The coloration is the result of the light projectors; the lenses: it's transparency, it's curvature, the tiny grooves etched into it; the projector assembly, the shield, and the reflector bowl. All these components work together to produce a signature of light unique to that particular optic's design. on a side note pictures of HID don't really do it much justice as seeing it in person

the projector is what makes the difference in HID's... different projectors let different wavelenghts through

i got the XD 6000k kit and i dont know how ive lived without HIDs for as long as i did. clicks on purple, fades to deep blue then warms up to a bright white with a hint of blue... driving down the road it gives off flickers of blue, purple and sometimes a reddish flare. i love mine. quick pic(no flash, above the headlight beam): [ img124.exs.cx]

Hm... I looked at the pic again and it looks more like green than purple/blue... the colors change in the lights pretty frequently. it all depends what angle you look at them. if ur parked up close to a wall and you look at the cut off point for the lights, it actually looks like a rainbow...its pretty cool. you can see all the colors from top to bottom. i've noticed green, blue, purple, white, and a dull yellow.

Good thing it's cheaper than the xenondepot one... Also how hard was it to install? would moisture in fl be a problem? And why do you think it's cheaper...?
Hm...

its not that hard to install. the factory harness plugs into the new HID harness, then the new harness plugs into the ballasts and bulbs. just pop the bulbs in and ur set. moisture shouldnt be a problem at all. :-D if you need anymore help just let me know bud:)

Do i have to take my whole headlight out and take it apart? what if i don't cover the wholes? If you dont cover up the holes, u'll have two spotlight-like beams shooting up in the air, i didnt cover up mine. at first its kind of annoying but after awhile you get used to having them. plus, if ur on the highway they light up the signs really well. install the lights when you get them and drive around for a few days, if you cant get used to them patch up the holes. i'm not too sure how to do it but i'd imagine you can get ur hand behind the light to cover them up without removing the headlight assembly.

i've tried with my hid's when I had it in.. and i felt bad for blinding people so i decided to take it out till i fill in the holes.. and aiming it right you really do blind them also vehicles that are higher up you hit the side view mirrors most definantly
