been thinking about this...I know greddy offers one, and so does cusco...which one has a baffled interior???? I know they both add bling, but I was looking for function too, and I really don't feel like sticking a couple of coffee filters in there like it was suggested elsewhere

They keep your engine clean by catching all the gunk.
This is very upsetting that you don't know the answer to this Steve! You're the one we come to for advise. You're supposed to know everything. First QTRMLR_1 didn't know the what the rev limiter is set at on a 1zz and now this. What is this World coming to?

Found this link on a Scion board, can't vouch for it's accuracy: "Oil catch tanks come with either 9mm or 15mm hoses. Most Japanese cars (including ours) take the 9mm variety. However, just to make things challenging Toyota decided to make our Positive Crankcase Valve (PCV) hose 9mm on one end and 18mm on the other. This means that you have to reuse the ugly grey stock hose for one of the connections rather then the cool GReddy hose with the cool blue clamp that goes on the oil catch tank. Shit." http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16393https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...#Post1953325615

check anywhere on srtforums theyll tell you more about the purpose. basically it catches oil coming from over the valve cover that for some reason goes into the intake

The oil catch can connects to the tube coming from your valve cover. Air is supposed to be re-circulated to your turbo from there. It keeps oil and other shit from getting inside your turbo, or engine, some of us have turbo's
