I love the price but I wonder how the quality of the kit really is.

Well I talked to the guy thats selling it and he says it authentic. I dunno if I belive that though since it's only $1,400.

aren't APR wide body kit around that price range? If you ask me fitment won't matter since you are gonna end up with just a professional fabricator to install it for you. Looks nice and I heard wide body kits are a plus in show hint

Thats the kit I want!!! Damn so tempting. Would really hate to buy that and have it be shit. Did he say that ALL the pieces are included?

What the heck is he selling?

He writes, "Type R2 front bumper"... but the front is NOT an R2 front... but then again, I thought he was trying to sell an APR GT300 kit, not an R2 kit

He also writes, "OUR BODY KITS ARE PROVEN TO GIVE MORE DURABILITY THAN ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT SELL KITS FOR ALOT LESS" ... then why doesn't he list a company name if he is so proud of this

He is selling a bodykit, but has no actual photos of the kit pieces he is selling


Then goes on to saying, "I HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH FITMENT." I really wonder how many of these kits he has personally installed himself. If he never installed a single one of these kits, then his statement about never having a problem fitting them is true True by default - that he has never done this before

This might also explain why he doesn't have his own pictures of the product he is trying to sell - he had never installed it himself - so how can he says the fitment is perfect... UNLESS it is genuine - but Genuine for only $1400 And it would include everything else, the Mirrors, the Wing, the wind splitter and canards... that is A LOT of stuff for just $1,400 plus the fenders, the front and rear bumpers, the rear fenders, and the side skirts... not to mention all the carbon fiber involved in the under-body defusers.

Oh well... I'm just being a skeptic here - considering that he's only made 2 previous ebay sales before.

^I know where your coming from Isaac, however I have been talking to him and he is selling the GT300 kit. They do not make the kits themselves they buy it from AITRacing (the manufaturer of the kit) and then he sells them. He says he gaurantees the fitment or you can return the kit.

CelicaGTizzle, well alright... I just find this difficult to believe.

But if a company has a contract to manufacture this kit solely for another company and then it turns around and starts selling these under the table to another company... well, you can see where I'm going with that.

I agree with you totally, but he gets his kits from the place GroupBuy4Celica does. ALso the kit isn't exactly the APR kit since it has never reached the APR factory. APR buys the kits from AIT Racing (they are desgining a new one as we speak) and so they don't have the APR logos on it. Do ya see what I'm saying?

I would too, but look in the group buy for all the information you would want about him. His shop, his supplier, and contacts. Take a look.

the 2 kits he sold on ebay are: 99-04 Mustang Cobra R full body kit. have you ask those 2 buyers? then again, it's probably the seller himslef... anyway, good luck and let us know...

I like this kit... one of the best!

I higly doubt the seller bought his own kits. I think that would take to much effort, becuase 2 different people purchased the kits so he would have to make 2 more names. Call the shop and talk to the guy or call the person that provides his kits and talk to him.

Everyone has to start out little. You just don't open a business and have a ton of customers right away.

my question is it says fiberglass. are the real kits fiberglass or urathane?

The APR GT 300 kit is fiberglass.

The kit is made by the same people that make it for APR.

and within minutes you have a group buy set up and you have 100% stock in this guy. How did you go from "I wonder how good the quality of this kit really is" to having all this
information and 100% trust, backup and so on?? I may be wrong for saying this,(nothing personal) but it just doesn't make sense how all that happened so fast.

I emailed that seller about what was included and this was his response:

comes with everything except the wing, canards and splitter. Splitter with rods is an additional $330. Canards come in a set of 4 for $210. Authentic APR wing will be $950. we also carry an identical wing for that car. same manufacturer makes it, just doesnt say APR. wing is $350. grade a quality. let me know what you think.

Sincere of course but those prices on the extras don't even match what was put in your GB.
and the wing? $600 difference in a wing because it says APR on it? WTF?

The prices in the group buy are if we get 5 or more ordered at 1 time. And I changed my mind so fast because I started talking to him and learned it isn't a replica it just doesn't have the APR logo on it.

You would be surprised at how much a logo can change the price of a product. Look at Short Shifters. There is a ss on ebay that is a generic brand with out a logo on it for $50 compared to the B&M (which is the same) but because it has the B&M it is more. It's also like nike stuff if it has the swoosh it will be worth more than if it was made by the same person but didnt have the swoosh.

Look in the group buy and call the people that I gave numbers for and ask them for more information on the product.

AIT Racing also supplies another seller on the forum.

if he has the kit in stock give me his address and i can swing by his place hes located in san antonio like m, but i've never heard of them.

They advertise it as:

"YOU ARE BIDDING ON A BRAND NEW APR GT300 WIDE BODY KIT"

But infact - and AS YOU WROTE ABOVE, it is NOT the "APR GT300 WIDE BODY KIT" - it is a watered down version of the kit - a version that doesn't include all the extras - such as what are shown in all of the pictures that he posted of what is being sold. That right there is deception... is it not?

If i had this kit in my hands, I would be more than thrilled to post actual photos of it in my sale - in the year 2004, its very simple to whip out your digital camera and take a few photographs of an item you are trying to sell. Heck, if you were able to figure out how to put an item up for sale on ebay, you probably also own a digital camera too

BTW, what did he say when you asked him what he means by saying "Type R2 front bumper" in his sale

And did you ask him why he links to other people's pictures instead of using his own

Never asked about that and the only link I see on the page is for the shipping service.

right click on the pictures in his ebay auction and view their URLS - you will see that they are not linked to his company site, they are linked to other company's websites

i wonder what groupbuy4celica has to say about this..

I'm asking him about that this very moment and I will post what he has to say shortly.

Ok here is the deal, there was a problem with stating that APR doesn't make the kits, so he had to edit his listing on eBay to change that.

I'll have an update tomorrow - I just came from APR about an hour ago...

take your chances with this - but be warned that this guy is in Texas, and the kits are not in texas... so good luck receiving whatever he's claiming to sell.
