hey does anyone know if TRD made headers for 2000-2005 celica gts?? i think i saw some on some sites.. but i dont' think its avaliable in america because it probably isn't street legal...

and does anyone know any good brand name aftermarket headers for 2000+ celica gts that are good and worth the money... and is still street legal...i kno DC sports made one..anyone know if the DC sport one is good?

TRD made a small amount of long tube race headers. Theres probably a handful in the U.S. As far as other headers for the gts theres dc and trial. Neither have that great of gains. TPR is coming out with a header for the gts, id wait on them and see what kinda gains theirs makes.

I don't think TRD makes headers for the Celi..and I think I heard DC headers didnt do much. I may be wrong though. Hotshot makes decent headers though, not sure if they do GTS.

you're mostly wrong.

trd does make a header for the gts. it's about $900 and doesnt give much gains.

Trial is about $800 and doesnt give much gains. a lot of people lose power.

DC does make a header but it blows. about $250 and gives little to no gains. and in some cases loses power.

yea i heard the TRD headers ran out 900-1000 but if none of the headers really give you any gains i guess it ain't worth it...

trd made a limited number of long tube headers for the gts including a complete engine package, cams, pistions, rods, theres a pic floating around the net of one,

its a true 4-2-1 design,

also trd now makes a shorty 4-1 design they sell to the public, one n c org member dynoed about 3 peak whp with it. for the price its not really worth it.

I saw a TRD header on ebay yesterday...and wow they're expensive...

anyway my family got a 93 grand am back in teh day and i wanna say that was a V4...and we actually had a V4 bronco i think back in the day as well...can't really remember...

but MOST 4-cyls are inline or flat...then again you have the subaru's/porsche's that are 'boxer' style that are facing eachother...

by the way - if you want the HP/speed the hotshot headers will give you, don't fill your tank past 1/4, and put your stock wheels back on - you'll be ahead of the game and save $500

flat is for what VW bugs had and old porsches, as well as new porsches, but in flat 6 form. The difference with a flat 4 is that with an inline, they are verticle, and with a flat 4 they are horizontal opposing eachother. inlines are longer, flats are more square and well... flat wink juts look at an old bug or porsche adn you will immediatly see the difference between them. Here look at this. it explains it all smile and no, we have inlines not v's smile

That is ONE header. The part as a whole is called a header, and there is only one. The 4 tubes that collect the exhaust gas are called exhaust runners.

wow didn't know the trd 4-2-1 design used the stock header flange.

it somehow makes it less awe inspiring

yes, i said they were made for the high comp and not our cars. but as far as the header itself fitting...they do fit.
