If I knew some insider people I would get a yellow box and what that does is whenever a cop shoots you with his radar gun the box jams the radar saying the speed you program the box to do but I have no idea where you could get one or anything but that would be bad ass...

For <$150, the best bet is keeping your speedometer needle under 60 mph!!

Rarely do these "jammers" ever actually work. I have several friends that are Highway Patrol. I assure you, these devices are worthless. As for a radar detector, go with a Valentine-1 or an Escort 8500 X50. But, don't come to rely solely on the detector. I'm telling you that ALOT of city and county patrols...and just about ALL State Highway Patrols are going to "instant on" radar. No matter how good your detector is, it WILL NOT alert you in time to save you from "instant on" radar. I know, I've been pulled on several occasions getting hit with instant on radar. I'm running a V-1 AND an Escort 8500 X50 in my Spyder. The best protection is common sense. If your going to speed, do it in a "safe" area. Don't drive 65 in a 25mph residential area. Use some common sense when you speed. And, if you want to really test out your car...TAKE IT TO THE TRACK. Peace, Drive safely.

Also a lot of traffic officers in my areas are now trained to hide behind a pole or street sign with the radar gun, and won't actually turn it on and run the laser until you get close enough, and by then it's too late for the detector to save you!!! A LOT of my friend have been caught by this (all of them have radar detectors of some kind)!

Can't tell you how happy I am with my radar detector. I got an escort passport 8500 and it works well. not much of false alarm compare to cobra. oh and yeah...these radar detector don't work well in highway coz they use LASER gun rather than RADAR gun... there's a big difference in band frequencies that's why highway patrols don't need their detectors on all the time, unlike city pigs.. laser jammer works but i wouldn't go that far since those are pretty damn expensive... just like any person (ricer or racer) would day... DRIVE WITH CAUTION

I have a $100 Cobra that I bought at Target. I don't even keep it in the car when I'm driving around town, because of all the false alarms. The only reason I bought it was for use on long trips (ie. Vegas, Havasu) and it works great there. Pretty much any >$75 detector will let you know if there is radar around... the cheaper ones just give more false alarms.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you

I usually look for old electronics there to play around until I got lucky that day. It was originally priced at $20 but sssshyet that's still expensive so I swapped the sticker price to $5 from an old school AM radio. I'm such a bad influence

They arent illegal. Jammers are illegal. The Escort 8500 X50 is the best radar detector on the market. We put it side by side with the v1 and the top cobra and it has the best range on KA. You can also incorp the ZR3 laser shifter with the 8500 and the sr7 and it is fcc approved and redirects the laser fired at your car to the ground, giving the gun a error reading or just a 0. I have seen it. I worked for SoundTrack for a while and they trained us on them. I trust Escort and I have the Blue x50.
