What do you guys do when rocks and pebbles hit your carbon fiber hoods? Doesn't it make a crack or something? I just got a carbon fiber hood and i'm kinda worried that i'll have to replace it every few monthes! Any bad experiences or tips?

WAX it... it's just like any other body part of your car. if you take care of it, it would last you for much longer than if you neglect it. Also - do NOT closely follow behind persons on the freeways and keep a nice distance behind anyone you are canyon carving with (or be in the front of the pack )

Ive realized that when I had my blitz body kit, it was getting chips all over it. Now I have a bomex front and follow far behind on the express way, and there is no chips on it at all.(had it on for about 6 months)

i never have had a problem, but i do stay away from following to close to other cars. i try to be in front of the pack and i also stay away from 18 wheels. those are the cause of most rock chips.

I'll try to stay in front. But I got this idea of putting the paint protection film on the Carbon Fiber hood. Does anyone know how this would look like? would it be ok?

Paint protection film is the perfect solutionfor you. It's virtually invisible & will protect your carbon fiber or factory front end. I've got my custom painted celica protected with 3M paint protection film(most of hood & entire kaminari front bumper). This stuff will take a 1/2" rock @ 60mph. Let me know if you want to see some pics, I'll be happy to post for you.

Dang~ better than I thought. I can't see it far away BTW you didn't cover the whole hood. Guess there's no need to...

I bought a roll of the material & applied it myself. I'm in the sign business so I got a deal & labor was just my own time. Sorry you'll have to get a quote locally by a distributer of paint protection material.
