hi everybody. i've been researching what kind of subs to put in my 00 gt and i've heard a lot of good things about the infinity kappa perfect. i was wondering if anyone has these and can tell me from personal experience. And if anyone has other suggestions please let me know thanks
I don't want the best sub in the world, I just want the cheapest sub that I won't be disappointed with. I'm thinking 1 10" in the smallest enclosure feasible. Any recommendations for this scenario?
12 in. bazooka P-Millers, dual voice coil. they sound great and i beat the hell out of mine everyday with a 1600 watt amp and i've never had a problem (except shaking the wires off the terminal inside the sub box ).
i've had infinity subs b4 and they are great but the bazookas sound ALOT better. i've also hear the alpine subs and i thought they were horrible. if you dont want to spend a lot and you want a decent sub, i'd go with bazooka. if you want to see some pics of them, look in my profile.:;-D

I like my rockfords but they are starting to fade. I have had them for 6 years though so im not sure how long they should last. I like JL and rockford.
Hey, If you want good stuff.. Here is my old business.. Old website still sorta updated.. I gotta plenty of audio stuff on there for good PRICE! but you gotta realize that this site wasn't done due to I left the business due parternship went shitty.. BUT I can still get you those prices!!
ive heard infinity they sound great and i have an infinity. ived heard two pioneer 12's and they were awesome as well as two alpine 12's and couldn't believe it
get audiobahn fire subs they look awsome so does the amp.
audiobahn sucks so for sound quality. No offence but they do. They are loud a hell but will never be as tight and play as nice as alpine, JL, infinity.
I have two 10" Rockford HE2 subs and love them. They no longer make them, but I imagine they would be comparable to the higher-end Rockford stuff made today.
That being said, I have Infinity speakers both front and back... and love them even more. I don't think you could go wrong with higher-end stuff from either company.

^^^ I will NEVER install anything except Kappa Perfects on any cars in the future... but the HE2 subs I have are nearly as good... and I know Rockford is far less expensive.

Everybody has their brand preference, and what sounds good to one person might not sound that good to another person. Rather than just recommend the brand that sounds good to you, can anyone share what specs are important? Obviously the quality of the assembly is important, so brand comes into play, but what about materials?
When shopping for speakers, or a subwoofer in particular, what kind of cone, surround, magnet, frequency response, dimensions, etc are commonly found in a good quality speaker?
whatever you do dont get MTX's. i went through 5 of them b4 getting new ones...they completely blow apart. they sound great for awhile but they dont last more than a couple months.
kinda off topic, but wouldn't 2 smaller subs be just as good as one larger one? and what amp would you need to go with any of this equipment?
They might be as loud. However, the depth of the sound larger subs can produce can't be replicated by smaller subs. Basically, two 10" subs might actually be louder than a 12", but they won't hit the same deep tones.
