I recently purchased clear corners for my car (APC 402029BLE) and now I have a problem that I was hoping somebody could help me with. I did some research before I bought them and as far as I could tell, they are legal if I use the included amber bulbs. The box they came in even says this. My problem is that they also came with small orange reflector squares. Nowhere in my research did I read anything about these. Do I have to mount these to make my car legal? Does anybody know how to install them?

the orange reflector squares are unnecessary parts that really don't have a placement location - you can disregard them (throw them away) if you choose

Really, the odds of you getting pulled over for them are close to none although I think one person did. Not sure if that was the only reason for being pulled over though. I have never gotten pulled over for them and I have had them for over 2 years. As long as your turn signals blink amber you should be okay. As to your question, most states have different laws. I was under the assumption that the corner marker had to be amber but I am not sure about that.

the lights to the front of the vehicle have to be either amber or white.
it does not matter if you have corner lights - as there are several vehicles that come from the factory without without corner lights

So they are in fact legal in any state as long as the bulb in the clear corner is amber?
