I just got my celica brand new a few months ago and have done a few mods. My car was parked on the street the other night and I came out to see this. Any suggestions on what to do?

For sure you rate shouldn't go up and a good body shop should be able to fix that no problem

It looks like the paint is cracked not the bumper imo

If you find the right one it should only be like 100-200 to fix and repaint

if that is the real TRD front..which is urethane, then you're paint will not crack...paint on urethane doesn't crack...on fiberglass it will.

real TRD is made from urethane, it can bend with the paint on it and will not crack.

i get these little lines around the fenders on my celi... they come off with bug/tar remover. thats what those look like to me.

and i can vouche for the bumper bending and having the paint bend with it... i hit some kinda of animal on my way home from work. i was doing about 75 and i knocked the bajesus out of whatever it was. put a huge V in the lip, made my foglight point to the passengers side of the street. got home, removed the bumper, took a rubber mallet to it and its as good as new.

yay for urethane!

Are you sure about that? Then are the stock bumpers made of urethane? Cause I was rear ended in a parking lot a while ago and this is what happened to the paint on my rear bumper...

paint will crack on urethane like most other things it will only take so much stress before it cracks

yes it does crack under hard pressure, not for a little tap...and his front has no dents whatsoever.

My rear bumper didn't dent either. At first I didn't think there was any damage after the hit. After a while the paint started cracking, and it got worst and worst. If the collison isn't hard, the bumper wont dent cause it flexes, but the paint won't flex as much as the bumper, hence the cracking. I'm not getting it fix cause I'm putting my kit on after the winter.
