Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Spinners?

I was driving yesterday and i saw a brand new Lancer Evolution (black) with i believe 18' or 19' spinners and ill be honest it didnt look too bad. I was wondering what everyones opinions were on spinners on a celica, if your going more for show than go.

Denari's, they spin when the car is stopped. Comicbookguy has them on his celi...I personally think they belong on SUV's and Trucks. Just my .02 though

I know a guy who had those and he told me a story of when he was stopped at an intersection and an old lady drove up next to him then looked at his car then down at the wheels and saw that they were turning so she thought the light was green and started to pull out in the middle of the intersection and then got t-boned. Nobody was hurt so now I think that story is funny as hell

the only vehicle allowed to have spinners is a Caddy Escalade

the only driver allowed to have spinners is a black male, age 25-35, wearing ice

personally i think spinners can look freakin awesome IF

A.your celica is black,carbon blue,spectra blue,or silver
B.its dropped 2 inches or more
C.the rims are 19's or 20's
D.you dont have a bodykit
E.you have no rice

yea i just wanted to see what other celica fans thought. what was the name of the guy with them on his celica? and does he have pics, that you know of?

One of my co workers son's had them..I guess they were really cheaply made b/c he was driving one day and stopped and the damn spinner thing came flying off

if they are for a show car (one that will NEVER see the street) then thats fine but if its gonna be on the street then no. spinners on the street should only be on an suv

spinners are for large SUVs or a few american sedans. IMO spinners will never look right on import vehicles.

I would personally shoot the person who drove just about any import and had spinners on them. without a doubt, i would shoot them... i would follow them to a stoplight, get out of my car and shoot them. i personally think that these things are only meant for big ol' fancy trucks and anyone willing to spend 4,000 on a set of wheels rather than a new turbo or completely redo your engine, needs their car and huge amounts of money taken away from them... so my $.02, if you have a big truck then go ahead, but if you are driving an import, you must be shoot on sight.

spinners are good for big ass SUVs not race type lookin cars.

unless the car is all for show and it looks clean, no stickers/decals and ish.

Well, you know, you can buy kits that make it look like you have spinners for about $1300. That's probably what it was.

i can't stand to see spinners on any vehicle. there have got to be less expensive ways of getting attention. gucci and luis vuitton paint jobs are also .

hahaha some guy at my work had a gucci paint job, it was horrible, the whole interior was "gucci" and he had a freaking hat hanging in his rear view mirror...it was just too tacky for words
