OK Folks - don't know if you have seen this one yet so here goes. This is one ridiculous car!!

"Just as you thought it couldnt get any quicker, the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII is now available with a 405bhp output. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mitsubishis entry into the UK car market, the special edition Evo VIII MR FQ-400 is available now to order at a price of 46,999. Just 100 will be made. Developed from the MR FQ-320 by Mitsubishi Racing in partnership with tuners Rampage, Owen Developments and Flow Race Engines, the 2.0-litre turbocharged unit has been tweaked for 355lb ft of torque and 0-60mph acceleration in wait for it 3.5 seconds. Top speed is limited to 175mph."

Mitsubishi Evo VIII MR FQ-400 - this car will reach 60mph, literally, in less time than it takes to say its name.

Mitsubishi has never officially stated what the letters FQ denote, but has been amusingly reluctant to dismiss the suggestion that they stand for 'F-ing Quick'.

i love those things. i just went to a mitsu dealership over the weekend, and the first thing you see inside the door is a brand new '05 Gunmetal Evo MR. i freaked out! the car is so awesome looking. it had a ribbon on it and a bunch of signs that say "Do Not Touch".

Hmmm, maybe Toyota should change the Celica's name, and make it shorter.

WEll, don't go blue waiting, it's not coming. It's a british spec car. Won't ever appear i nthe states unless its specially imported. Same as the Subaru Impreza WR1.

Well, maybe I'm wrong, but according to C&D, FQ does indeed stand for fucking quick.

Well, FQ is a small company. So those are basically custom built vehicles.

Now that's telling it like it is! Too bad we'll never see the likes of it over here.

Define Ugly...I think those things look totally badass. Knowing their rally roots makes you respect those cars even more.

Yeah, did you see how terrible the turbo-lag is?
It's as fast as a murcielago if you keep it in the right gear at the right revs.
It's fucking slower than a fiat panda (or whatever crappy car it was) going WOT from a 30 mph in 5th gear...
The evo was nowhere.

offcourse you want to keep it up in the high revs, but still..

Well, what do you expect out of a 2.0 liter inline 4? I say it's pretty goddam impressive.
