When doing your car dont be gay with screens...thats the only thing i dont like with Bobs car.
What about Black Mica pearl with Metalic flake?
Or Black with a blue pearl and metalic flake?
Or Blue with a gold pearl and metalic flake?
Or blue with a purple pearl and metalic flake?
I like all those colors^
Interior, make a better one than the red on the above post, keep the lines contour and overall better...are you gonna Carbon Fiber that or paint it? That should be a step thats done before you start painting so they can use the same batch as on your car. Keep up the hard work and def post up a before and after! -Brian

Same with the RSX Alpine did. I'll bet a paint job like this would score higher than Mull's and would look pretty damn good on an APR Celica.
Maybe just a little bit more of ghost airbrush job so you have to look a little harder to see the art work and the car would still look like a nice solid color instead of a big art board. What do you guys think?

Thanks Brian, I will not go crazy (or gay) with the screens. Just 3 should be enough to max on points. One in the center console and the other two in the sun visors.
I decided against screens in the trunk. What the hell is the use.
One thing I hate about Mulls car is the dash. I like the slide out lap-top he has, but I don't want my dash to just look like a big blob of molded fiberglass. Our car has a nice looking dash with nice lines that I would like to use.
This is the best looking dash I have seen and I would like to copy him a little. I'm thinking DVD/PS2 screen on top and a Greddy profec e-01 on the bottom. Sound good?

Of course I don't tell the guy doing my interior what to do. All I do is give him some of the ideas that are going on in my head and I will let him work his magic since he is the artist and has created some of the best looking interiors I have ever seen. Check out the 68 Camaro he just finished on his web site. Beautiful. www.bdaudiocreations.com [ bdaudiocreations.com] .

Nope. Just the ones I need...egt, boost and n20. You're right, our dash has great lines as it is. You don't like my idea I just said 5 post up? I think that would look good. Never did like gold though. Black top would look good. It's just been done too many times. So how is the car comming? You ready for the 2005 show season?

Just thought of something...I could be wrong about black cars not doing well at show. I forgot that Jay Laub's RX-7 was black when he won a ton of Best Of Shows. So maybe I could get away with a dark solid color.

and this... its not a striaght up and down fender...it sweeps forward then back to add to the curves of the body...it would look sawesome with the celicas natural lines, and even better with the apr kit...

Thanks Steve. Now I get it. Yeah, that would look pretty good.
celicadragon, The first time I ever posted on this site was to ask for that hood. Took some time, but qt1ncelica sold me hers. There is one for sale in the for sale forums right now.

Yeah, that's something I think about all the time. How to make that kit look better. Kind of hard to figure out. It's already a damn good looking kit, but I have to do something to stand out. Just can't go overboard and ruin it.

Yes, I will, but I still like to get opinions and ideas from all of you while I try to figure out what to do.
In fact, here is another idea for you...I think I want to go with a really dark color to match my Carbon Fiber. I just think the Celica would look really mean in a color almost black. Then I want to copy the Alpine cars paint jobs, except more of a ghost paint job so you really have to look hard to see the art work. I also want the art to be mean. Something like Demons and shit like that. Then if the art work could be in red to match parts of my interior, engine and suspension, I think that would be really cool.
Something like this...

So you guys don't think those red demons would look good if they were done like the Alpine cars? The base color could still be a black pearl.

i know plenty of cars that have stock or a pearl paint that do awesome in shows... paint isn't everything.
go something with flakes in it...looks amazing.. idk what color you could do, but subaru's java black pearl sure does attract people.

Thanks Steve, I'm trying to find a good painter right now who would do something like that for not too much money. I wouldn't really want to spend much more that about 10k for a paint job. The MTX demo truck has over 30k into their paint. So I'm not sure if I could find somebody to do what I want for 10k.
Thanks Billy, I still need to find a picture of this java pearl black. I did do pretty good at shows with my stock paint. In fact I even got a 1st place best paint trophy once. And there was some cars with custom paint jobs there. Small town show though. I asked a judge how the hell I won. He said I was the only one with perfect paint, but I will never win best of show with stock paint, so, gotta go custom.

go to clubwrx.net or nasioc.com and search for java black pearl pics or something. i may have some pics of mine showing it off good at home, i'm at school right now... either way, do something with flakes in it, you never see colors like that..
even a bright blue with some flakes will look awesome, the subaru world rally blue is amazing in the sunlight
