Ever since i got my injen CAI i have been getting CELs and every time it comes on i get my friend who works for an automotive repair shop to get a code and get rid of it, it keeps sayin engine is running lean. Is there any ways to get rid of this nonsense because it fuckin pissin me off now. And is it bad for the car to run too lean? what would it do to the car and the performance? Thnx for da help!

lean is bad, lean leads to the dark side, and the dark side leads to detonation and ping, and detonation leads to a hefty bill. But really...if its just from your CAI its not too bad for the engine since it runs lean a lot anyways

dude i posted a while ago i had the exact same problem as you, after a couple days of testing and a long struggle only to find out it was my intake, toyota replaced my maf and 02 sensor, then they tried to charge me without telling me, not that the aem cai caused it, but they wanted to charge me for swapping a stock air intake manifold and seeing if they were right about the intake, and yes i did not end up giving em a dime, it was under warrenty

there is an ECU/ Injector TSB.. look into it. Yours probably falls into the vin range.
