the only thin with running a turbo gts is no more than 6 psi safely then if you want to up boost effiantly then lower compression internals must be done to maybe an 8:8:1 i beleive is a good turbo compression ration-does that help?

no N/A GTS is going to OWN any turbo GTS at the moment, and the forseeable future. I have a turbo GTS(343 CRANK, 316whp) and Im in love with the car. I too tried going N/A as the 2zz can take the abuse, but after all bolt on's and the PFC, i still was very disatisfied with the outcome. Im running 14psi daily and 20 psi on the track. No issues. If your setup is done correct and you maintain your car afterwards, its just like having the N/A GTS...just a lot faster and a lot more fun. This message was brought to you by the folks over at C2Power, have you driven a STG1 today...lol thumbsup Good luck!

Oh and 'slapping' on a turbo is not all there is to do...I kind of cringed when I read that for some reason.

because toyota has tunnle vision...hehehe...really back in the day toyota wouldnt have thought twice about putting a turbo on its cars, but as its one of the top 3 enjoying a reputable car rating, in the terms of cars being reliable, i doubt they will ever go back to mass producing turbo cars from the factory:( Not that couldnt produce quality cars that were turbo'd but why if they can push off on the consumer a good N/A car cheaper.

WOW is all i can say, that turbo sounded so bad ass...

what all engine mods did you have to do to run 14 psi? and overall, how much have you put into your engine in order to pull those kinds of numbers...I mean how much $$$ (USD) and what all mods have you done...

thanks!

I dunno why everyone thinks you will destroy a 2zz on more then 6psi. you can boost 9psi daily safely. 11-12 for the track on STOCK internals. thumbsup

I am looking to turbo my 231 also I am going to try to piece it together slowly with parts I can add and notice a difference I am thinking about running a greddy emanage piggy back system what do you all think about that? Also I am just going to install it with a apexi n1 evolution cat back exhaust and a test pipe cat, I want to make my own turbo kit as it will be cheaper in the long run and I will get the parts I really want. Anyone know who makes an turbo manifold for the gts?
