Nope, no fake ... it's just an electric blower that forces air thru the intake pipe. I don't know how much of a benifit you would get from it

go to walmart, buy a $20 hair dryer, rip out the heating coils, hook it up... you'll see about the same gain

ya know i actually had that idea, or get a room fan and some how hold it in place by the intake so it blows air in there

The only electric blower thing that sort-of works is an electric leaf blower, you need to do some fabrication to make it fit (as well as an extra battery to power it). I've known a couple of people who did this, it sort of works for a while, but leaf blowers weren't meant to go under the hood of a car

One company actually made a real electric supercharger (not e-ram). this was about 3 or so years back, can't remember the company name off the top of my head; I'll have to look around for it. It was a specific automotive application, which used a supercharger housing similar to a paxton SC, but the turbine was driven by an electric motor. the company had problems with the motors burning out, as well as power supply issues (the motor had a hig-amp draw, greater than a starter motor). it retailed for around $600 or so, but techinical issues eventually led to the demise of this product. They used to advertise it on TNN during all the hot-rod shows, looked interesting, but it died all too soon.

Electric blowers are feasible, but not practical. To date, nobody has successfuly manufactured and distributed an electric blower for cars.

apparently, they were bought out by Turbodyne over their design, which is the likely reason it's no longer produced. Turbodyne claimed to be working on an electric turbo at the time (about 1998) the SuperPac for out cars would've cost about $1500

apparently there was a lawsuit, and Grand won, but what happened to the superpac? I can find no solid info on the web.

i heard about some dude around my area using like a vaccum cleaner hose or something to get more air into his system?? cant quite remember but i never actually seen this car but the dude was apparently explaining how he hooked it up to some of my frens. hehehe. it is true...its weird, if its not, why the heck would you lie about hooking a vaccum cleaner to your car??

my freind w/ a stealth is makeing his own pos blower. He's using the motor from a vaccum. HEHEHE...i'm gonna laugh at him when his car breaks from injesting vaccum parts.
