I used the Meguiars three step. But before that I used Mothers clay bar. I have had the car 2 years and never cleaned the paint nor polished and waxed it. So I used the clay bar to get all the crap off the paint. 2 years of bird shit, bug guts, dirt, and whatever else. The paint came out great. Feels like glass and reflects like it too. What a difference from before and after.

I know they're supposed to really work well, but I'm not sure if I have the patience to do it.

It wasn't too bad with how long it took. The clay bar took me about 45 minutes to do the whole car. The only thing is you have to wash the car two times. Once before the clay bar then again after the clay bar, and then polish and wax.
It was worth it though. The paint feels so smooth. I don't know how else to explain it, but with the Meguiars three step the paint feels moisturized or wet. Thats how smooth the paint feels.
Overall the entire process of clay bar to the 3rd step of waxing was about 4 hours.

The clay bar is awesome! I learned about it from they guy down the street from me. He collects cars. He has like 3 or 4 Mercedes. One is a limited edition, only like 500 were made. He has an S2000, PT Cruiser, and a Prowler. The Prowler is a show car and he's got custom paint and all sorts of goodies for it. He uses the clay bar on all of them with the mother's wax. When he showed me, I felt his cars, then I felt my just washed celica. The celica's paint felt rough! Its hard to explain, but I am definately going to get the clay bar and before spring comes I'll have my car silky smooth.

I used it and just kept spot waxing areas where it get's beat the most and it always shines even when its somewhat dirty lol. I always have people ask me if I just washed my car. Im like NO it's because I wax my car and take care of it

I use mothers products...clay bar, wax stripper, sealer, and reflections paint...(sort of like the meguiars 3 step)...all of that after a wash and dry with the water blade thing...if you don't ahve one, then get one, they seriously cut down my dry time...and no smudges!!!!

I just got some of that premier turtle wax stuff. Its like 9 bucks at autozone and you could slide all over my car. Unfortunately in the process i did notice all those little imperfections I never found at the dealership
