i was just curious about something...

i wanted to do the neon tube behind the AC controls AND the CCFL in the footwells. i know that in both, you get power from the cigarette lighter...i was just curious if you could attached both to the cig lighter, or am i going to have to find another power source for one of them?

it should work.. since you are just tapping and not redirecting the power source, i dno't see any problems with that.

i jsut did my ac one and had ccfls already. for ccfls i jsut tapped intot he back of the cig lights. for my cold cathode behind AC gauges i used a wire tap form pepbyos and taped intot fuse #18. its for tailigths. so when they come on, the ac gauges ocme one. so anyitme you turn ur lith son they will be on. works liek stock. turned out really good.

but now goign to dissconect everyhtign. taking it in for warrenty to get a speaker replaced. dont want them to somehow blame my speaker ont he ccfls. also getting oil change so putting stock aro box back in so they dont bitch aobut that either. damn i hate warrenties

Every time you tap into the lighter, it's in PARALLEL. It's fine. You can put everything there. Here are my lights.

I heard about this tap but like you can't really use the cig lighter to charge your phone or laptop. what i did was i tapped the wire behind the cig lighter and now i can have my neons on and my phone charged and there hasn't been a problem yet.

no no the tap is simply somehtign that plugs into the fuse for your tailights #18,. it has 2 fuses for the tailights and for the alternate thingy. then a wire coming off to power it. So you get 2 things from 1 fuse and has nothign to do with cig lighter. for my foot neons i jsut did the whole put wire behind cig lighter and added a swich for it. so yea that you can still use the cig lighter as well.
