me n my friends just installed my intake yesterday n had sum problems which made a 45 min job turn into a 4 hr job!! it seems like its running perfectly w/o no cel but then again theres a blue plug that has no connection to it n im not sure if thats suppose to happen.. can some1 who has a aem cold air post there pix up so i can c if mines look similar to it!! thanxx

yes that's suppose to happen..the blue plug that goes under ur stock air box don't plug into anyting onto ur new intake..it's normal..don't worry about it..as long as ur have all ur hoses connected correctly u'll be fine..and as long as you don't have CEL u're good to go...congrat on the intake..

same here, the only problem I ran into was putting the little metal adapter in the fan shroud.

whew!! thanxs for the replies.. but im still waitin for the by pass valve to come!! i wanna put that in because im paranoid bout water gettin in.. but then ahhh its probally gonna take along time to put that stuff on also!!

i thought if you have a CAI you should get a by pass valve i herd that helps...  that been debated for sometime now..u can put them in if you want, but it don't help any with our car..it'll actually make you loose hp down low (i think, if i remember right)..so to avoid bypass, you need to cover the wheel well hella good, not air tight, but cover enuf so there won't be a lot of water splatting from the tires into the wheel well..plus some people uses heat shield with CAI, positioning the shield somehow to block water splat.. from here.. https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...#Post1953354286
