Hi gang!

Long time no post wink Thought I'd check in with the people who remember me.

I bought a 2004 Subaru WRX STi on Saturday and will be selling the Celica GTS soon. I'll make sure I drop a link in the selling section.

Pretty psyched about the STi, but I'm already missing the gas mileage of the Celica. I feel like I'm sitting up so high in it after the TRD Springs on the Celi too. Amazingly the STi corners just as well even being higher up. Funny thing is my insurance dropped by $600 a year because I went to a 4 door from a 2.

Coming home last night had a modified Civic come up and literally start doing circles around the STi trying to get me to race him. He was changing lanes in front and behind me and speeding up and revving. Was so cute, like a little puppy *grin*. Would have schooled him in the Celica, but I can't afford the gas to punch it in the STi whenever some idiot wants to loose LOL!

Anyway hope to hear from you guys that know me smile

I'll post pics of the two together while I have them both here.
I don't wanna spam the General forum with sales stuff, so once I get new pics of the Celi I'll post it in for sale and link it smile I need to spend a few hours detailing the Celi for the last time *sniffles*.
For the first time ever it had to spend the night in the carport instead of the garage. I almost cried frown Poor Celica. Lol when I sell it if I hear someone has aboused it I'm going to be SO ticked off! tongue

Well, lots of reasons. For one when we had a lot of snow and ice here in St. Louis all of us who called in to work got in big trouble. I'm tired of worrying about that. The Celi is lowered so much that it would start snowplowing if more than 2 inches of snow/ice is on the ground. Not to mention I didn't want to have 2 sets of tires for summer/winter. So I went with an AWD car.

Two is I really love mountain biking, and I could never find a good way to carry the bike with the Celica. Bike racks either don't fit or just look STUPID on it smile

When I bought the GTS I was totally ignorant about cars and things like that. So I got the triptronic auto transmission. In order to do any more modifications I would have really needed to do a transmission swap before turboing it. It was more economical to buy a new car. Especially one that was already Turbo.

My friends can now ride in the car with me with the back doors and usuable back seats. They hated the Celi's wink

I'm going to start college again in the Fall for film school and needed to be able to lug around film/video cameras and boxes, and be able to go remote places to film. On my last short film shoot we had to go up a rutted dirt road up a mountain side. The Celi with its low clearance would have been torn to hell.

So all in all I with all that together, I decided to get the STi wink I still love the Celica though. Great car, great gas mileage, great top end speed. Reliable as a rock smile Loved it!

Quite possible smile I live in NW County but bought the Celi down at Feld Southpointe Toyota so I'm down there sometimes. Also seems like all my friends live in South or West County.

Yah I know. I'm on a frantic search for cheap winter tires right now smile I heard these are basically like racing slicks on snow... I was told by another friend that the stock 17" BBS rims are 800 bucks a pop to replace too heh.
