so here i am in the dealership, i only scheduled an oil change, and they try to tell me i scheduled a "green service" because my car has 16,000 miles. I tried to get into the tech info maintenance schedule, but it won't allow me to on the computers in the dealership. The guy said it came w/ cleaning and inspecting breaks, changing my transmission fluid, rotating tires, tightening ebrake and making sure everything was up to specs. I told the guy my car didn't have transmission fluid because it was a manual, he insisted, i told him no, it had transmission oil and at 16k i really didn't think it needed changed. So he makes me come into his office and watch him note on my file "declined green service" that's not going to void my warranty is it? plus what do i really need to do at 15k? I'm on my way after her to go to discount to have them rotate my tires for free. Ohh, by the way did i mention this green service costs $200?

first off ... I don't believe that is a "green serivce" ... anyways .. here are 2 break downs of 15K service ... secondly manual tranny fluid really doesn't have to be replaced until every 30K miles unless you constantly drive hard.

Green Service = every 5K miles
Blue = at 15K
Red = at 30K

Most dealerships go by the severe schedule.

thanks for answering, i guess i'll have to try those links after i get home because the computer here doesn't allow me to open them up. they called it a green service here, that's even what he typed in the computer. but there isn't anything too important that i have to do right now is there? i usually drive pretty nice, usually shift about 2500-3200 rpms nothing too high. There has only been a few occasions when i ran her hard.
